On Valentine’s Day this year, my dear friend Mr. Jefferson proposed to the lovely Eve Petlyakov, you may remember this blog post about it. This weekend was the wedding we’ve all been waiting for.

There are a lot of things that I found incredibly amusing about this whole wedding day and I wanted to share them in detail.

Mr. Jefferson’s closest friends are both girls and Eve’s closest friends are all boys so the wedding party actually switched roles. I must admit I giggled when I found out that Monica Outlander and I were going to be the groomsmaids and Maddox DuPont, Jax Aster and Zachary Zufreur were going to be the bridesmen.

The bride and groom decided to troll their wedding guests by setting up a prank wedding that would be a bloody, cliche vampire theme, at which the bride would throw a tantrum and leave the groom at the altar. He would then teleport out after her. The wedding party were supposed to react and create more drama and then eventually we would teleport all the guests to the real venue and have the ceremony there. It was absolutely hilarious!

They made me wear this blood dress for the prank wedding, which I admit wasn’t THAT bad, *coughs* but I was encouraged to be dramatic about it on plurk and you know me, I love me some fake drama so I totally did my part and threw a hissy fit all over plurk. I’m still laughing about it and of course still being dramatic because I do that so well.

While the guests were filing into the prank wedding venue, the wedding party was in conference giggling at how “polite” the guests were trying to be about the decor and our outfits. I laughed so much my tummy hurt.

Right as the bride started the fake drama, I CRASHED! LOL So I actually missed all of that but by the time I logged back on both the bride and groom had gone already. Which helped me a little bit because I was all like, “uh, what happened? I crashed.” I also at the moment got a bunch of IMs from some of the guests asking if what was going on was real or fake and I was like, “I DUNNO, I CRASHED!” meanwhile DYING laughing the whole time.

Then I asked the guests to stay seated till we figure out what to do. The whole wedding party teleported to the new venue, changed into our “real” wedding outfits and had the guests come over there.

The ceremony itself took place at Momento Mori, which is a breathtaking sim! The bride looked absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t stop staring at her dress and veil, it was all just perfection. Their vows almost brought me to tears. It was such a beautiful moment and I was so happy to be there standing beside my best friend on his special day. I know how happy Eve makes him and they both deserve to be happy together.

After the ceremony we all went to a third location for the party. It was setup like a carnival and everyone had a blast. I even got to slow dance with the hot DJ so that was the perfect end to the most perfect day.

During the whole wedding I had my graphics on low and no shadows to minimize crashing (and I still crashed, TWICE). But because of that, I did not get any nice pictures of the ceremony itself. The first two pictures in this post of me alone were taken before the wedding. I just went earlier to the location to take some snaps for a blog post because I absolutely loved this dress that Monica Outlander made for me. This Esther dress is one of her latest releases for Miamai. So you can pick up one for yourself. Just not in the color I’m wearing since this combination was created special for the wedding. However, she does have it available in seven other colors.

It’s been quite an amusing and memorable day. Thank you Winter and Eve for letting me be a part of your special day and for making it so much fun and hilarious. I laughed till my cheeks hurt! I adore the both of you and wish you both an SLifetime of happiness and hot sex (I don’t need the details). <3

So the title of today’s post is a bit of an inside joke with me and my plurk timeline. If you’re on there and know it you’re probably shaking your head and laughing at me right now. If you’re not on there and don’t get the joke, consider yourself lucky. :P

In other news (and the main reason for this picture) Glam Affair has finally released SLink appliers for both hands and feet. I am so incredibly happy about this, you have no idea. All of my favorite skins have appliers out now and my life is so much easier. There’s just one more skin that I would love to have appliers for and that is Glance!

I’m also loving all the nails people have been making with this kit. The ones I’m wearing in this picture are actually free from League. They are so well done, I love them. She made them both for hands and feet and they are absolutely free!

Finally, I wanted to give a big thank you to my friend, Mr. Ghosty Kips, for sharing a really important debug setting with me this morning that I found very useful. The setting is windlightUseAtmosShaders. Have you guys ever had the missing prim issue where parts of your jewelry and/or clothing may be missing and you need to keep right clicking on it or relog to make it appear? Well, if you set this setting as true, that should fix the problem. Here’s a link to the picture he shared with me where he shows you how to add this setting to your quick preferences in Firestorm. You can then easily toggle it whenever you have the missing prim issue. The following picture is mine from the official viewer that I use:

Since I am a serious social media addict, I figured the perfect meme for me to do next would be the Social Media meme! I was planning to do it last week but then of course, I procrastinated! :P

Which network is your favorite?
This one’s a tough one. I like each one for its own reasons. I love the talented flickr community. I learn a lot about social networking and blogging on Twitter. I get a lot of encouragement and support from the Facebook community. I guess I would have to say Plurk, as I share the most of myself there and I’m quite attached to some of the people on my timeline. The plurkers have been there for me through a lot of tough times.

Which network is your least favorite?
I know this is going to seem strange but it’s actually Plurk as well. I have somewhat of a love/hate relationship with plurk. I think my main issue is that I have over 1800 people on my list there, so it can get very overwhelming. Also, when you have a bunch of very active members in a community thrown together like that, there is bound to be a lot of conflict. I know there are conflicts on every network, but I’m not so involved in the others as much to notice it. So although plurk is one of my favorite social networks, it is also one of my least favorites as it is the only network that I actually get tired of and wish to take a break from, from time to time.

Which network do you have the most amount of connections?
Ummmmm, not sure but I’m guessing that it would be my Facebook page.

How/Where do you usually read/use most of your networks?
I think lately I’ve been reading/using them more on my phone.

What are your favorite social networking apps? (if applicable)
On my android I like to use plurka for plurk, the official twitter app and Hootsuite for Twitter, Facebook Pages Manager App, Flickr app, Pinterest app and of course Google+ app.

What do you like most about social networking sites?
The information being shared. I especially love twitter for that. I have learned so much about blogging and social media by following various hashtags and different RL bloggers.

What do you like least about social networking sites?
I’m pretty sensitive and get down/depressed easily, so I like to stay positive about life and anything I am doing in general. Sometimes, it’s hard to do that when you get a constant stream of negativity coming through to you from various networks. That’s when I usually take a step back and focus on something else.

Do you feel social networks are a good way to promote you/your brand/your work?
I feel that there is a trick to every social network. Before you sign up and just start spamming your information, it’s good to get a feel of what the community there is like and how to use the network efficiently.

What is your main reason for using Social Networks?
I would be lying if I didn’t include promoting my blog; but I also learn a lot from them and pick up great tips to improve my blogging and photography. However, with all that being said, my main reason is to socialize and connect with like minded people who just want to share a laugh or a bit of themselves and to escape the pressures of the real world.

I know not all of you are into social media so a lot of you will probably not participate in this meme. But, I figured I’d do it anyways as it will be good to get some networking going and may actually encourage some of you to join us. If not, then I’ll try and do an easier meme next week! :P

Recently someone dropped the landmark to Vintage Vinyl Records & Cafe on me. I didn’t get a chance to visit right away, it was in the back of my mind, and then I noticed Harlow Heslop did an amazing post with some awesome pics of it and I knew I had to head down and see it for myself right away. It’s a great sim, I even listened to the music stream there while shooting (which I rarely do). I really liked the atmosphere and even had a few nice people approach me and chat with me while I was shooting. For more details about what you can find there and some great pics of it, check out Harlow’s post. You’ll find it to be a nice place to hang out.

I didn’t stay too long as I had to rush back to a photoshoot with a client. While I was waiting for the client, I decided to take a quick headshot of myself. I really love this new hair by LeLutka, however I couldn’t get it to look right with the LeLutka hairbase, that’s why I decided to cover it with the sunglasses. I still need to mess it with a bit and see if I can get it right. However, when my client arrived I noticed she was wearing the same hair and hers looked fabulous so I asked her what hairbase she was wearing it with and she said it was one from Amacci. It really blended in well. I’ve picked it up and will try it later tonight. I thought I’d mention it in case any of you guys wanna try it with a different hairbase too.

Are you ready for some fun and adventure? Global Domination is an event by the Hottie Cooterati team and it will be an extravagant adventure! It all starts tomorrow on Valentine’s day and will run through till the 28th of February. However, Global Domination is more than your standard shopping event or hunt, it is an interactive game experience, leading you through a series of challenging puzzles themed to various countries and cultures around the globe. Each puzzle will be challenging and once solved you will receive all sorts of prizes! Every person that plays and completes the 17 puzzles will receive the prizes.

I am not going to get into the details of the puzzles, but here is a short summary of what you need to do to play this game:

1. The first thing you do is purchase a Passport, which is a HUD. You will be given landmarks upon purchase of where you will start the puzzle. The passports are L$300 right now, but at midnight SLT tonight (Valentine’s Day) they will go up to L$400. So click on over to the Global Domination Passports page and see where you want to pick up your passport. The hat I’m wearing in the first image is available at Baiastice if you purchase your passport from there.
2. Once you have your passport and you take the landmark to the locations you will need to start looking for clues. These clues will help you solve the puzzles. With each puzzle you solve, you will get a stamp on your passport. You need 17 stamps to complete the game.
3. Once you have all 17 stamps, you will be given a SLurl to the prize center, where you can claim all the prizes from the participating creators. Click over to the Global Domination prizes page to see what you are playing for.
4. In addition to those prizes which everyone who finishes can claim, there are three grand prizes! So if you are one of the first three to finish, you will win one of the three grand prizes which are also listed at the bottom of the prize page.

If you do have further questions about this, I know the Hottie Cooterati team has been very helpful and have been answering questions on there social media networks such as plurk and facebook. So feel free to poke any of them if you guys get lost or confused.
