I felt like doing a pretty pic today. I feel like I haven’t done one of these for a while. I don’t often wear a lot of makeup, in RL or SL but once in a while I do like to get all dolled up and elymode knows how to do glitter! Of course I couldn’t resist the new mesh liners from Glam Affair either, totally delicious. All of this and more at Cosmetics Fair right now, so take the slurl and check it out.

I had a lot of fun with this in photoshop so make sure to click over to my profile to see the raw shot. Do you guys ever do before and after comparisons? I do that a lot after I process just to see how much I put into it. Sometimes I kind of regret all the processing and wonder if it’s better if I kept it at a minimum but then I guess I wouldn’t learn as much. Sometimes it’s fun to just press that shiny button and see what it can do!

Finally, one thing I wanted to mention that I noticed the other day. All of the major social networks I’m on seem to have adopted hashtags. So now I’m stalking all the SecondLifers everywhere. I think it’ll be interesting to see how this develops and how people use it on the other networks. I know I use hashtags like crazy on Twitter, I follow the SecondLife hashtags and certain other social media tags and such. Today is day 5 of Avatar Blogger Month and I haven’t missed a day yet, aren’t you proud?

Today I visited the beautiful Baja Norte sim with my friend Magenta Devinna. She took the third image in this post for me. I absolutely LOVE her photography and her writing is so entertaining. If you haven’t visited her blog, you should click over and take a look: Not Quite Pink

I’m wearing the latest release from ColdLogic. They released the perfect summer dresses today! I loved the cut of this one so decided to use poses that would make a statement. The poses are from the Gown in mesh Set by BeloD Poses.

The leather wedges are from Hucci and they have to be worn with the SLink avatar enhancement mesh feet. Siddean Munro has brilliantly offered a developers kit for the SLink mesh feet to those that would like to create shoes and other accessories to go with them. Seeing all of the collaborations with this is very exciting and I’m looking forward to seeing what else designers create.

I also had the opportunity to pose for the vendor ad to this gorgeous jewelry set. Caelan Hancroft asked me if I’d like to and I was so thrilled because I adore her jewelry. This is the ad on her flickr and it’s currently available at FaMESHed. The set comes in a variety of colors and metals, all scripted to make your life easier.

One thing I wanted to talk about before I end this post. The last few days a couple of people have messaged me and asked me how I get my pictures looking sharp as the ones they take tend to be on the blurrier side. Aside from a bit of sharpening in Photoshop, the biggest thing I do that I know helps improve my pictures quite a bit is I take my snapshots at the highest resolution possible. Currently to avoid glitches and black boxes, this is the resolution I take it at:

If you take your snapshots at screen size or smaller, they will always be a lot blurrier and have lesser detail in them. This is also why the raw shots you see on my sl profile feed (such as this one) always look a lot blurrier as well, because I take the profile feed shots at a smaller resolution.

This week is going to be the week of epic jewelry releases. The first release I’d like to show you is The Primavera Collection from Kunglers. This collection is quite organic consisting of many nature elements such as flowers, petals, butterflies and other insects. As always, it has the unique Kunglers touch that AvaGardner always brings to her designs. I find them to be so bold and beautiful. You’ll find them in the Kunglers Jewelry section, so take the slurl for a closer look.

I decided to wear three different skins for this post. I know most people pick one skin and wear that for a while or always have their favorites that they go back to, however for me I am always jumping around. I do have some favorites that I like, lately that is Glam Affair, Glance, League and Tuli. However I love to mix and match brands, tones, hair colors, etc… and I’m also wearing three different Mayfly eyes here. I can’t help it, I just love them!

In the second image, I am wearing one of my favorite PXL skins. It’s Linda, an older skin, but I have a special attachment with that one. PXL is about to release a new skin very soon, there’s a teaser on Hart’s flickr at this link which looks really fantastic. I can’t wait to try it out!

Ok so MAYBE, just MAYBE my facial expression is a bit more severe than just “awkward” over here. However, the last time I made a goofy picture, it got turned into a meme so I was trying to go supreme goofy here to see if I get lucky again. Time will tell!

I had to blog this shirt, which was just released from Erratic today. I feel like it was MADE for me! You have to check out the Erratic blog and see all of the other drawings on the shirts, they are so adorable. Most of them Erratic actually drew herself! Why can’t I be that artistic, dammit!?

Erratic also released some cute zipper skirts which I will probably blog in an upcoming post. I love the zipper detail on them. The t-shirt I’m just so in love with because of the way it falls. Most of the mesh t-shirts I have never seem to fit like this, especially around the shoulders. They always seem bulky or just a bit awkward. But this one just falls so nicely and it fits so well with my maitreya jeans and also the skirt. Really happy with these shirts! Definitely going to be my go-to mesh t-shirts now so I’m happy that they also come in plain versions.

Finally, I wanted to get some cute poses that would show me falling or looking like I’m doing something awkward. I started searching marketplace and found these awesome skateboard poses from Bounce this Poses so I thought I’d try them out. I love them, they are so much fun. I decided to use the wall skateboard pose so it kind of looked like I was falling. I think the picture turned out pretty goofy, as was my intention. :D

On Valentine’s Day this year, my dear friend Mr. Jefferson proposed to the lovely Eve Petlyakov, you may remember this blog post about it. This weekend was the wedding we’ve all been waiting for.

There are a lot of things that I found incredibly amusing about this whole wedding day and I wanted to share them in detail.

Mr. Jefferson’s closest friends are both girls and Eve’s closest friends are all boys so the wedding party actually switched roles. I must admit I giggled when I found out that Monica Outlander and I were going to be the groomsmaids and Maddox DuPont, Jax Aster and Zachary Zufreur were going to be the bridesmen.

The bride and groom decided to troll their wedding guests by setting up a prank wedding that would be a bloody, cliche vampire theme, at which the bride would throw a tantrum and leave the groom at the altar. He would then teleport out after her. The wedding party were supposed to react and create more drama and then eventually we would teleport all the guests to the real venue and have the ceremony there. It was absolutely hilarious!

They made me wear this blood dress for the prank wedding, which I admit wasn’t THAT bad, *coughs* but I was encouraged to be dramatic about it on plurk and you know me, I love me some fake drama so I totally did my part and threw a hissy fit all over plurk. I’m still laughing about it and of course still being dramatic because I do that so well.

While the guests were filing into the prank wedding venue, the wedding party was in conference giggling at how “polite” the guests were trying to be about the decor and our outfits. I laughed so much my tummy hurt.

Right as the bride started the fake drama, I CRASHED! LOL So I actually missed all of that but by the time I logged back on both the bride and groom had gone already. Which helped me a little bit because I was all like, “uh, what happened? I crashed.” I also at the moment got a bunch of IMs from some of the guests asking if what was going on was real or fake and I was like, “I DUNNO, I CRASHED!” meanwhile DYING laughing the whole time.

Then I asked the guests to stay seated till we figure out what to do. The whole wedding party teleported to the new venue, changed into our “real” wedding outfits and had the guests come over there.

The ceremony itself took place at Momento Mori, which is a breathtaking sim! The bride looked absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t stop staring at her dress and veil, it was all just perfection. Their vows almost brought me to tears. It was such a beautiful moment and I was so happy to be there standing beside my best friend on his special day. I know how happy Eve makes him and they both deserve to be happy together.

After the ceremony we all went to a third location for the party. It was setup like a carnival and everyone had a blast. I even got to slow dance with the hot DJ so that was the perfect end to the most perfect day.

During the whole wedding I had my graphics on low and no shadows to minimize crashing (and I still crashed, TWICE). But because of that, I did not get any nice pictures of the ceremony itself. The first two pictures in this post of me alone were taken before the wedding. I just went earlier to the location to take some snaps for a blog post because I absolutely loved this dress that Monica Outlander made for me. This Esther dress is one of her latest releases for Miamai. So you can pick up one for yourself. Just not in the color I’m wearing since this combination was created special for the wedding. However, she does have it available in seven other colors.

I adore the both of you and wish you both an SLifetime of happiness and hot sex (I don’t need the details). <3
