Ok so MAYBE, just MAYBE my facial expression is a bit more severe than just “awkward” over here. However, the last time I made a goofy picture, it got turned into a meme so I was trying to go supreme goofy here to see if I get lucky again. Time will tell!

I had to blog this shirt, which was just released from Erratic today. I feel like it was MADE for me! You have to check out the Erratic blog and see all of the other drawings on the shirts, they are so adorable. Most of them Erratic actually drew herself! Why can’t I be that artistic, dammit!?

Erratic also released some cute zipper skirts which I will probably blog in an upcoming post. I love the zipper detail on them. The t-shirt I’m just so in love with because of the way it falls. Most of the mesh t-shirts I have never seem to fit like this, especially around the shoulders. They always seem bulky or just a bit awkward. But this one just falls so nicely and it fits so well with my maitreya jeans and also the skirt. Really happy with these shirts! Definitely going to be my go-to mesh t-shirts now so I’m happy that they also come in plain versions.

Finally, I wanted to get some cute poses that would show me falling or looking like I’m doing something awkward. I started searching marketplace and found these awesome skateboard poses from Bounce this Poses so I thought I’d try them out. I love them, they are so much fun. I decided to use the wall skateboard pose so it kind of looked like I was falling. I think the picture turned out pretty goofy, as was my intention. :D

1. First SL Friend: Gertrude (I was a bridesmaid at her wedding) She’s still on my friend list even though we haven’t spoken in years. I met her at some random store when I was only a day or so old and she taught me about lucky chairs and we used to lucky chair hop together!
2. First SL Kiss: I dunno, some newb! I was only a few days old.
3. First SLex time/place/partner: N/A cuz I’m an SL virgin *coughs*
4. First SL Partner/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Wife/Husband: I guess my first boyfriend was Sam1177 Alito from August 2007 till October 2007. After that I had a few more boyfriends (shush :P) but I never partnered anyone until February 14, 2009 and that was Catero Revolution. I’ve never been SL married.
5. First SL Job: Bellydancer at Club Habibi! I wrote an article about the history of Club Habibi, more information at this link.
6. First SL Creation: Oh god this is so embarrassing but I think it was this tattoo.
7. First Encounter with a Linden: I believe this was in 2009 or 2010. I was exploring some sim and I ran into Torley Linden. I totally freaked out and was like “OMG TORLEY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.” Yeah….I’m not very good at playing it cool.
8. First Encounter with a SLebrity: I actually spoke to Ginny Talamasca and Callie Cline in their stores in the summer/fall of 2007 but that doesn’t count because I was too much of a newb to know who they were at the time I was talking to them. So the first time I actually spoke to someone who was well known (and I knew who they were when I was speaking to them) was back in June of 2008. I was all decked out in my indian clothes and jewelry and it was the last few days of the RFL Fashion Expo so I quickly tp’d over to check on the RFL auction dress that Zaara had up to see how it was going. A few seconds after I got there, I got an IM from Celebrity Trollop and in that IM she said that I had a beautiful avatar!!! I remember being so giddy and excited that I messaged Zaara right away and told her what happened. Now I really didn’t know the fashion community back then but I had heard of Celebrity and I couldn’t believe that she actually said that to me! I tried to play it cool and thank her nicely, but I’m pretty sure I made an ass of myself cuz I’m so good at doing that.
9. First SL Sim you fell in love with: This one is a two-parter because the first sim I fell in love with was The Taste of India sim but it was not because of the way it looked (it didn’t look like it did in this post when I first found it in May 2007) but it was because of the people that hung out there. Now, the sim I fell in love with the first time I saw it, because of its beauty, was actually 1001 Nights (Also known as Kingdom of Sand)
10. First SL Blog Post: Ack, lots of embarrassing stuff this week! My first ever SL related blog post: December 28, 2007. (don’t judge my badly edited eyelashes please)

This month Zodiac focuses their attention on Aries. Aries is symbolized by the ram. The ram has come to represent attitude and courage. I wanted to go with a heavy eyelash with this look, but the hair I’m wearing was messing with my mesh lashes. So I decided to wear my tattoo lashes that I recently put up in my marketplace store. About two years ago I was goofing around in photoshop and created some tattoo lashes which I sent to my group inworld. Since then, from time to time, people would IM and ask me for them. I have long since deleted those ones now (I didn’t really like them). However I still kept getting requests so I made up five new ones for fun and put them up last week. You’ll find them at this link. I wear them underneath my mesh lashes for a fuller look sometimes as well. If you try them out, let me know what you think!

Finally, I wanted to bring up something that happened recently to a content creator, which I was pretty shocked to hear. Lilith Heart was recently banned from SL for 24 hours with no explanation whatsoever. I asked my friends on plurk if anything like that ever happened to them and they all responded with more of their own horror stories about being banned with no explanations. This whole thing has kind of freaked me out and I wonder how often does this happen to people? Has it ever happened to you? It’s never happened to me, but the thought of it is kind of scary.

Recently someone dropped the landmark to Vintage Vinyl Records & Cafe on me. I didn’t get a chance to visit right away, it was in the back of my mind, and then I noticed Harlow Heslop did an amazing post with some awesome pics of it and I knew I had to head down and see it for myself right away. It’s a great sim, I even listened to the music stream there while shooting (which I rarely do). I really liked the atmosphere and even had a few nice people approach me and chat with me while I was shooting. For more details about what you can find there and some great pics of it, check out Harlow’s post. You’ll find it to be a nice place to hang out.

I didn’t stay too long as I had to rush back to a photoshoot with a client. While I was waiting for the client, I decided to take a quick headshot of myself. I really love this new hair by LeLutka, however I couldn’t get it to look right with the LeLutka hairbase, that’s why I decided to cover it with the sunglasses. I still need to mess it with a bit and see if I can get it right. However, when my client arrived I noticed she was wearing the same hair and hers looked fabulous so I asked her what hairbase she was wearing it with and she said it was one from Amacci. It really blended in well. I’ve picked it up and will try it later tonight. I thought I’d mention it in case any of you guys wanna try it with a different hairbase too.
