There was much debate over which picture I should use for this blog post over on plurk. My friend Ms. Dove Swanson was hating on this pose (that she made 5 years ago) and trying to get me to use a different one. She said it looks like a zombie was choking me out. I’m not sure if I should be offended or get turned on by that, but in any case, I settled on this one because well…I liked it!

The mesh owl bracelet will be available for only L$50 for Fifty Linden Friday in just a few more hours. You can check out Erratic’s flickr for all the colors. My sincerest apologies for all my blogging spam lately, I have just been feeling so inspired and wanted to get all this desire for blogging out of my system before I leave for vacation in a few days.

Also, I just noticed that the pictures that I did for Linden Lab back in November finally made it up on SecondLife.com today. This time I have two up there which was even more surprising. I did two because I couldn’t decide which look to do so I decided to send them both and let them decide, didn’t think they would use both, LOL! But, I’m glad they did, I really wanted this second one up there and I’m glad it made it.

This time they asked us to create images with the theme: “Winter Holidays” and I think everyone did a fabulous job with that. Also congrats to Miaa Rebane, Faint Paulse, Vixie Rayna, Sixx Yangtz and Harper Beresford for getting their images on SecondLife.com as well.

People always ask me how I get my picture on the SL main page, if it was some sort of contest I entered or something. Well, one of the Lindens emailed me and asked me to do it and I’m assuming that’s how the others that are there were approached as well. I’m not sure how the Lab heard of me, but I know one thing that might help you get noticed by them is by submitting your pictures to the Second Life Official Flickr Group! They choose a picture of the day from there every day to showcase. However, make sure to read the terms at the bottom of this page so you know what they can use your images for once you submit them there!

FaMESHed has started again this month with a fresh round of original mesh content and I just fell in love with the accessories this round. The jewelry from Auxiliary has got to be my fav along with the mesh hair/hat combo from LaViere. I love how both the hat and hair are available separately and you can wear them with each other or with other items. The hat also comes in two versions, rigged and non-rigged, so it’s easier to fit other hair styles if you prefer.

So I’ve been seeing a few people doing mirror images a lot recently, like this amazing one by the infamous Mr. Jefferson, and I thought I’d give it a try. I have to admit, Mr. Jefferson totally encouraged me to do it. He linked me to all the appropriate tutorials and even sent me the water file inworld (I’m so spoiled). Anyhow, I kinda had fun playing around with this pic. If you’d like to try it out for yourself, check out the following tutorials:

• Cajsa Lilliehook – I also found Cajsa’s tutorial helpful cuz she has the latest windlight settings interface displayed.

Sorry I haven’t shared a tutorial for a few weeks, I’ve been a total slacker this summer and now I’ve been busy getting ready for school to start again. But no worries, I’ll be back to harass y’all more often soon!

Also, I wore a teal bikini in this post just for Mr. Jefferson (he knows why).

BTW, this video has had me laughing (and dancing) all day today so I really wanted to share it. I love this song even more now!

EDIT: I have gotten a slew of questions regarding this post since yesterday so here are the answers to the questions y’all are asking:.

Raw shots from SL, resized & cropped together, resolutions on top

1. Mirror Water – Some of you were having difficulty making the windlight preset required to create the mirror water, so I’ve created and uploaded mine at that link. Now you just have to copy it into your water folder. You can find the water folder here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\user_settings\windlight\water

   If you are using a third party viewer such as Exodus or Phoenix, remember to place the settings in the correct folders by substituting the “SecondLife” folder for the name of the viewer you are using.

2. Why are your reflections all jagged? It may be because you are shooting your images at a lower resolution than I am. I’ve noticed the higher resolution you shoot the images, the better the reflection (and most of the time the overall picture). As you can see in the second picture I’ve posted in this post, the one shot at the higher resolution has a much cleaner reflection. So try fiddling around with that and see what works best for you.
3. Raw shot without using the mirror water – Some of you asked to see the raw shot of the image while I was NOT using the mirror water setting so you can see what it looked like before I turned that on. At least, I hope that’s what you were asking, I’m not 100% sure but there it is anyways.

For all the images in this post, I used my diamond windlight setting which is in the 10 pack of settings that can be downloaded from my windlight settings page.

I’m all meshed out today! I’m currently wearing mesh hair, eyes, earrings, top and pants and I look like I’m all ready to go dancing. So who’s coming with?

Glam Affair released the Cassiopea skin earlier this week and I was asked to pose for one of the vendors. You can see the beautiful picture that Aida Ewing took of me along with all of the style credits on my flickr. I have to admit I really love this new skin. I’m a big fan of thicker eyebrows and the new tones are all so warm and beautiful. I did a plurk a few days ago where I shared images of all the tones, so you can check that out to see raw screenshots of all the tones if you like.

I got some highlights of the Olympics opening ceremony and Mr. Bean had me LOLing. Will y’all be watching the Olympics?
