I’ve been drooling over these shoes since Gos started teasing us with them earlier this week. Finally we’ll be able to get our hands on them today! They will be released today at 12pm SLT. So in just a few more hours you can head down to the Gos Boutique and try on a demo for yourself. The shoes come in a variety of different color options for innersole, straps, wedge, metal and sole. You just attach the HUD and use the sophisticated Gos skin matching system to match your skin and then hit the menu button on the HUD to play around with colors and options.

The sexy outfit I’m wearing is from Hucci. You can find a lot of original mesh designs at Hucci, with more curvaceous sizes available than just the standard sizing. So if you have a bit more of a curvy figure, I suggest you head down there and try on a few things.
I recently had a chat with Hucci designer, Eboni Khan, regarding her curvy sizes. She told me that some of her customers message her because they have trouble fitting into the curvier sizes that she offers because they are not aware that certain sliders work with mesh. One example of this would be the hip slider, mesh moves with the hip bone. She gave me a few numbers that I thought I would show here so you can get a good idea. The first numbers of the hips and saddle bags are for the curvy CB size that she has. The second is an example of numbers that some of her customers that have a hard time fitting into the mesh have. The final numbers are of course my own hip and saddle bags that I thought I would throw in there for you guys to see. So if you just increase your hip size and reduce your saddle bags, you can still achieve that curvier hip and be able to fit into mesh a bit better. I also think the hucci hips look a lot smoother than the example hips. Also, although the Hucci hips numbers listed there are for her CB size, I am actually wearing medium in the shorts in that image. So you can see that the hip sliders really do move with the mesh.
Now I am a total newb when it comes to mesh and sliders so this information was really eye opening to me. I would love to learn more about sliders and know which ones might assist in giving a better fit to mesh, especially around the shoulder area. So if you guys are aware of more sliders that move with mesh, please do let me know, I really feel like experimenting now with shapes.

Fantasy Faire 2013 starts on Saturday, April 20th. Over 140 of SL’s talented designers are coming together to bring you this magical event!
Draxtor Depres has come back with another epic episode of his Drax Files, this time focusing on Fantasy Faire. You will see some beautiful imagery of the builds from this event along with an interview with event organizer Zander Greene. I found this video especially inspiring and it really shows a very generous and caring side of SL residents. The gorgeous dress I’m wearing is FATEwear’s contribution to this year’s Fantasy Faire. I love the way it flows and the texturing is flawless but the best part is that 100% of the proceeds from it will go to RFL. When you visit the Fantasy Faire, you’ll find FATEwear on Titan’s Hollow. The sexy boots I’m wearing are the latest release from Erratic. I was blown away by the texturing on these, it’s so nicely done and I love that they come with a HUD to change the metal on the zipper. You can pick up a DEMO on marketplace and try them out for yourself!
A couple of weeks ago I was inspired by this pose and dress and wanted to create an image of a girl falling apart in pieces. I was experimenting with different tutorials I found online and they just weren’t helping me as much. So I showed my plurk friends a work in progress image (in this plurk) and they gave me lots of good advice, which I took and came up with the image you see here. However, it still needs a lot more work and polishing up but I’ve finally given up on it, for now. Real life got me busy so I haven’t had time to look up more tutorials or see how else I can improve it.
In the meantime, a few of you have messaged me and asked me how I did this effect. It’s really hard for me to explain it over IM or email so I promised to do this video and here it is. Not sure if it’s easy to follow or if it makes any sense but this is what I did to get this effect.

If I know myself well, I am sure I am going to continue to figure this shattered image out more in a few weeks when I have more time. If I can think of a better way to do this so it looks more polished, I will definitely share it here!

Earlier today on plurk, fellow blogger Tymmerie Thorne mentioned something about blog memes and that got me thinking and gave me this idea. There’s a real life blog that I follow and she blogs a lot of memes which I love reading but I never participate because well…they don’t really pertain to my SL blog. So I thought it would be a neat idea to take the memes and adapt them to my SLife. This way I can kind of participate in them, in my own way.
The first meme I’m going to start with is the seven SL facts meme. Basically I’m going to share seven facts about my SL avatar or my SLife that may or may not be obvious to all my readers. The only thing I ask is, don’t judge me (or at least just do it quietly in your head)! :P
My SL Fact #1:
If I’m just standing around chatting with a friend or doing something in another window, I can’t leave my avatar just standing there. I have to sit on a pose stand or chair or sex pose ball or something!
My SL Fact #2:
I have OCD about the number of lindens I have at any given time. If it’s not an even number, I send a linden over to my alt to make it even.
My SL Fact #3:
I hate notecards. I hate them with a passion and avoid reading them unless I absolutely have to.
My SL Fact #4:
I’ve never owned any land or a proper home in Second Life.
My SL Fact #5:
I’ve never purchased any lindens. I earned all of them inworld through various jobs…starting as a belly dancer.
My SL Fact #6:
I very rarely IM anyone in my friend list because I’m always afraid I’m going to be disturbing them.
My SL Fact #7:
I’ve never had pixel sex. (I can’t even say that with a straight face.)
Ok so maybe I cheated a bit on the last one, but this was kind of fun. I’m going to make a memes category and try and do a different meme from time to time.
