Take me to Jodhpur

Take me to Jodhpur

The Arcade Gacha Events returns March 1st and Zaara is taking us all to Jodhpur, India this round. Jodhpur is the second largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is often referred to as the “Blue City” due to the vivid blue-painted houses that surround the infamous Mehrangarh Fort.

It is one of these blue houses that Zaara has so lovingly built for us to enjoy, along with a selection of furnishings and decor items that resonate with the colors of Jodhpur.

You can’t really see the blue color of the house that well in my pictures, so make sure to check out Zaara’s Flickr to see all of the images in detail and you can also click over to her plurk where she shared some real life images that she took herself when she visited Jodhpur and got inspired by it.

Ishq Sufiyana

I also found this very beautiful video on The World of Travel youtube channel that shows more of the beauty of Jodhpur.

Zaara Kohime’s work has been inspiring my pictures for many years but now her work also inspires me to travel and see more of the world. Jodhpur is now on my list of must-see cities!

Click over to the Arcade Shopping Guide’s page of Zaara’s items this round to see full details of this set, how much it is and the exact SLurl to the machine which will start working when they open their doors on the 1st of March. Before then, you can take the SLurl to the Zaara mainstore to see a version of this home rezzed with all of the furnishings.

Poser

ManBerry was feeling left out and wanted to do the Yearbook Challenge too so I took him down to The Mens Dept and got him all outfitted for school. Somehow though I think he ended up looking like a creepy uncle, lol. So of course I gave him the Joey quote from Friends, “How YOU […] Continue reading →

Avatar in a Box Challenge

The lovely Vanessa Blaylock has started a new challenge called Avatar in a Box! She was inspired by Hugh Kretschmer‘s 2006 art/fashion piece Special Delivery where he lovingly assembled outfits and body parts in a box, which you can see in her post. I didn’t really want to cut up my avatar in pieces like […] Continue reading →

Mrs. Robinson

Botgirl called me Mrs. Robinson earlier today and that sort of inspired this post, even though I am completely innocent and have even sworn off men for the rest of my life (or until I meet a really hot guy). But yeah, I did have fun dressing Manberry up like a schoolboy and photoshopping a […] Continue reading →

!ndustry

There is a new club on the grid by the name of !ndustry. Harlow Heslop blogged about it earlier and then I saw her plurking about a party going on there, so I figured I’d go and try to kill my graphics card by taking a picture in the crowd. The club is owned by […] Continue reading →

Say Something

(click here for a raw shot) You may have noticed that I’ve been feeling a bit horny lately. Horns in this post and also my Warrior Princess post from the other day. I’ve never really worn horns before, but I’m kind of having fun with them now. Now I’m no expert in horns, but these ones seem […] Continue reading →

Berry Nice Shoes

I don’t think I’ve ever written a “berry” pun in my titles before so hopefully you’ll forgive me this time, I couldn’t resist. The shoes I’m wearing are named Berry so you know, it had to be done. The lovely Lyrical Ember asked me to blog with her and since I’m on this journey to […] Continue reading →

Solitude

“Solitude has soft, silky hands, but with strong fingers it grasps the heart and makes it ache with sorrow.” ― Kahlil Gibran The bottle prop and pose is currently available from Diesel Works at the Sad November event. When I saw the bottle I got inspired and decided to do another shot for my Bare […] Continue reading →

Happy Halloween!

I’m still traveling so blogging this using my tablet, I hope this works! I had asked the sexy Mr. Bouncer Criss to dress up with me for some halloween pictures. In the first pic we are bandits out to steal all your monies and in the second pic we are in adorable cardboard costumes. He […] Continue reading →

Meet My Bratty Nephew Ron

Inworld he’s known as coolron28 and on plurk he’s known as RonZoon or whatever display name he has chosen that day. He’s the brat that charmed me with his adorable, witty humor and made me want to adopt him. I’m not sure how he became my fake internet nephew, but all I know is one day […] Continue reading →

Chandni

In Sanskrit, the name Chandni means moonlight and it’s one of the names my father uses for me when he’s being especially endearing. Since I have been begging Ms. Zaara Kohime to make a mesh lehenga for me for about 2 years now, she said that I get to name it. So here is the new […] Continue reading →

What’s in a Shape?

Last month I released a standard second life shape directly to my marketplace store. The only reason I did that is because people kept asking about my shape and so I thought I would experiment and see what I could come up with. I didn’t expect to, but I sold quite a few of them. […] Continue reading →

Vogue

This is my third post today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I am inspired so I’m taking advantage of it. People often ask me what inspires me. Recently, I have been very inspired by Vogue Magazine, and especially Vogue India. I know my pictures and styling don’t come anywhere close to the ones […] Continue reading →

Dance with me

Real life friends dragged me dancing this weekend and I had so much fun that I felt like going dancing in Second Life as well. This time I went to the Woods Club because my friend, Blazin Aubret (she works there) has invited me to come a few times in the past, so I thought I’d go […] Continue reading →
