As you can see, I kind of went photoshop crazy today. I’m not really sure where I was going with this image. It kind of reminds me of my life right now, hopefully I’ll get it all in order soon. Here’s a link to the raw image so you can have a clearer look at all the insects.
The insect collection will be available at The Arcade from Ladies who Lunch starting this Friday, March 1st. Each insect is so intricate and well done, I was amazed. They come with a resize script so you can change their size and wear them as any kind of accessory or use them as home decor. My favorite thing about them is how some of them are so delightfully animated. Some have lights and gears and wings that flutter, move, turn on and off and all sorts of things! You can’t see any of that in my picture, but here’s a short video by the talented Thalia Heckroth which will show you a few of the animations.

Are you ready for some fun and adventure? Global Domination is an event by the Hottie Cooterati team and it will be an extravagant adventure! It all starts tomorrow on Valentine’s day and will run through till the 28th of February. However, Global Domination is more than your standard shopping event or hunt, it is an interactive game experience, leading you through a series of challenging puzzles themed to various countries and cultures around the globe. Each puzzle will be challenging and once solved you will receive all sorts of prizes! Every person that plays and completes the 17 puzzles will receive the prizes.
I am not going to get into the details of the puzzles, but here is a short summary of what you need to do to play this game:
The first thing you do is purchase a Passport, which is a HUD. You will be given landmarks upon purchase of where you will start the puzzle. The passports are L$300 right now, but at midnight SLT tonight (Valentine’s Day) they will go up to L$400. So click on over to the Global Domination Passports page and see where you want to pick up your passport. The hat I’m wearing in the first image is available at Baiastice if you purchase your passport from there.
Once you have your passport and you take the landmark to the locations you will need to start looking for clues. These clues will help you solve the puzzles. With each puzzle you solve, you will get a stamp on your passport. You need 17 stamps to complete the game.
Once you have all 17 stamps, you will be given a SLurl to the prize center, where you can claim all the prizes from the participating creators. Click over to the Global Domination prizes page to see what you are playing for.
In addition to those prizes which everyone who finishes can claim, there are three grand prizes! So if you are one of the first three to finish, you will win one of the three grand prizes which are also listed at the bottom of the prize page.
If you do have further questions about this, I know the Hottie Cooterati team has been very helpful and have been answering questions on there social media networks such as plurk and facebook. So feel free to poke any of them if you guys get lost or confused.

And what girl doesn’t desire a new pair of shoes? Well, this weekend we are going to be completely spoiled! Not only are we getting these beautiful rigged mesh feet, but a whole line of shoes coming from the all new Gos Boutique. Gos Boutique is a part of the Gos enterprise and the main focus of the boutique will be on women’s shoes. The best part about these feet and shoes is the actual tinting, it is so simple! Gos’ coders have scripted it so well and it’s all done through a website. Mandala has just released three new mesh ears, one of them is a clean, simple version with no piercings at all. I was so happy to see that. I plan on wearing it often with my own earrings. They are so easy to resize and tint, it literally took me 3 minutes to match them to my tone here. They don’t have any demos available but I still recommend them.
The sweater, pants and shoes are all new mesh releases from some very stylish brands. The sweater is from Epoque. I love the texture on it, it’s really well done and the spikes on the shoulders give it a bit of a futuristic look. The pants are from Drift and come with a color changing HUD for the belt/bow. Kallisto has been releasing some really stylish pieces lately, so if you haven’t checked out her store, definitely drop by. Finally, the bag and shoes are both a sexy new release from Baiastice.
I love all the meshy goodness being released to the grid recently. I remember a time where I could not do an image without liquifying the hell out of the weird bumps and bends on clothing and body, but because of mesh I am barely doing any of that now. Everything just looks so much better.
People are always asking me which viewer I’m currently using and which works the best for me; at the moment, since this blog post about gridlines, I have been exclusively using the Beta Viewer. I shoot my images at 4000 width and they turn out beautiful. I do have some issues with crashing often, but I noticed that happens more if I’m logged in later in the evenings. It doesn’t tend to happen if I login earlier in the day or morning. Which viewer is working the best for you guys these days?

The title of this post actually has nothing to do with what I’m wearing. The reason for the title is because I’m pretty happy about the fact that Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of the 25 films to be chosen by the Library of Congress to be preserved in the National Film Registry this year, details at this link. It’s not a huge deal but it’s definitely one of my most favorite movies, it’s right up there with Princess Bride, so I’m happy to see it getting recognized this way.
Now on to what I’m wearing! A few days ago I did a post about the new gorgeous gowns from Baiastice. This is another one of them. I had to blog this one because I fell in love with the golden glitter version of this dress. This Mana dress comes in two versions, stars and glitter. Both of these versions also come in a variety of colors and also look great with the Baiastice velvet mesh gloves as shown below. All of the dresses have been released and are in the store now so take the slurl and pick up a fabulous holiday dress fit for a queen!
I took all of these images at Japan Tempura Island. It’s been around for years and there are so many spots to take stunning pictures at.
