I’ve been wanting to dress up like a mermaid since last October when I first plurked about it. Well finally yesterday I just carved out some time to go on a shopping spree and transform myself into this creature. I absolutely love it and might stick to being a mermaid for a while now. :D

I was dropped some poses from some of my plurk friends and I really loved them! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture using all of them, however I do want to say that *~*HopScotch*~* by Chandni Khondji has some amazing Mermaid poses and even gorgeous clams to sit in. I wasn’t able to take a pic with that for this post cuz I was running short on time but I am planning to do one next week hopefully with the clam. I totally loved it! I know it’s not even February yet and a bit too early for Valentine’s Day, but when Jewell Munro of Teddy Bear LOVE started an advertising campaign with me a few days ago, I just fell in LOVE with these adorable bears. I knew I had to blog them.

Today I was asked why I photoshop my blog pictures. There are many reasons why a lot of us blog and if you read my review policy, I state that “I am not a stylist, critic or review blogger. My passion is taking pictures in Second Life and working on my skills in Photoshop.” At times I do not speak about the items I am wearing at all but instead just share a quote or ramble on about nonsense (kinda like I’m doing now :P). This is one of the reasons why I do not request review copies, because my blog is not about the content I am wearing (or in this case, not wearing) it is about me, my art, my thoughts and what I want to share.

That being said, it’s been almost a year since I bought my domain (February 15th, 2010) and I have gotten a great response to this blog and to my photography. All this has been completely unexpected to me, but has helped me in more ways than you can imagine. Working on this blog has brought me great pleasure and I look forward to continue improving my skills and learning more about myself.

“Once upon a time long, long ago… there was a beautiful and kind woman named Snow White, who was loved by all. Well, loved by everyone except the Wicked Witch who was jealous of her and had plotted to kill her. She’d given Snow White a poison apple to eat.”

Snow White fell in a deep sleep, waiting for her prince to come and rescue her.

Very recently I was asked to be Snow White, and who can refuse such an offer? Especially if the prince is named Carthalis. Read Prince Carthalis’ post and see how he rescued me. <3

When he teleported me to come pose with him, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at the scene that rezzed before me. There on a grassy green hill rested this beautiful prop with a stunning backdrop that took my breath away. Then I saw the bed that I was supposed to lie in and I was even more amazed. It was as if the fantasy was real.

But that's not all, what's amazing about this prop is that it actually tells you a story as you go through it. It begins with introducing you to the tale of Snow White and as you click through the different poses (which you can see on Carthalis’ post here) it goes further along in the story. The ending though…ah the ending. It certainly came as a huge surprise to me! LOL Carthalis also left out the ending on purpose I believe, so as not to ruin it for all of you. So make sure to go down to Studio Sidhe to check out the Tale of Snow White with a surprise ending.

This prop was loads of fun and beautifully assembled. It was a pleasure to pose with you Carthalis, thank you. <3 Now I can't wait to have you on my blog....I hope very soon. :)
