I may have eaten a bit too much sugar and having way too much fun with the linden bear the past couple of days. That’s why this has ended up being the geekiest post ever. But it’s all good, I’m proud of my geekyness.
SL10B is just around the corner, the Grand Opening is on June 16th, and here’s what you can do to take part in all the celebrations:
Linden Lab is also holding a SL10B Celebration Snapshot Contest and the 1st prize is Homestead Tier paid for four (4) months! Talk about AWESOME, that’s even better than the creepy bear! I’m not sure if I’m going to enter this contest or not since I’m not allowed to photoshop but if I do, I’ll let you know!
The talented Dizzy Banjo recently contacted me to contribute to his Message in a Bottle exhibit that he is planning for SL10B. I decided I do want to do it, however it’s only supposed to be 10 seconds or less and I am a big time rambler. So I decided to make my own youtube video of what Second Life means to me, however, it’s 17 seconds long lol, so I am going to use soundcloud or something to send my audio recording once I get it down to 10 seconds. But to further geek up this post, here’s my youtube video of what I kind of want to say for this:
Spring fever is in the air and it has also hit SecondLife.com. This time I did something a bit different, normally the Lab asks for a shot from us on a green screen, however this time I was a bit sneaky and sent them an image with a background of my preference as well. I was hoping they might use it and was pleasantly surprised to see that they did and also added an adorable little windmill and some butterflies. Now it’s a complete spring picture.
I’d like to congratulate all the others that got their images on SecondLife.com as well, click over and check out all the gorgeous spring-y pictures. And also a big thank you to Linden Lab for this opportunity. <3
A few of you messaged me yesterday because you noticed my absence on plurk. I am taking a bit of a break from it. I felt the need to sort out some stuff in my life. I’ve got to admit, I am shocked to see that Linden Lab has already gotten the Valentine’s Day themed pictures up on SecondLife.com and it’s not even February yet! Kudos to the Lab for being punctual!
This time I asked my best friend Ms. Zaara Kohime to pose with me. I am so happy that they chose to use that pic as I had given them two again and thought they would only use one. The second picture is the cliche Valentine’s couple in which I used my trusty male alt Mr. ManBerry himself. He cleans up pretty good, no?

While we’re on the subject of Valentine’s day, I wanted to mention a very important event that’s going to happen on February 14th which I think everyone should take part in, especially women! One Billion Rising is a real world event that will take place on February 14th. It is a global campaign by women, for women. This movement calls for an end to violence, and for justice and gender equality! Some very dedicated people are also holding an event in Second Life for this great cause. Check out the One Billion Rising in Second Life blog for all the details and join the cause!

My sincerest apologies for all my blogging spam lately, I have just been feeling so inspired and wanted to get all this desire for blogging out of my system before I leave for vacation in a few days.
Also, I just noticed that the pictures that I did for Linden Lab back in November finally made it up on SecondLife.com today. This time I have two up there which was even more surprising. I did two because I couldn’t decide which look to do so I decided to send them both and let them decide, didn’t think they would use both, LOL! But, I’m glad they did, I really wanted this second one up there and I’m glad it made it.
This time they asked us to create images with the theme: “Winter Holidays” and I think everyone did a fabulous job with that. Also congrats to Miaa Rebane, Faint Paulse, Vixie Rayna, Sixx Yangtz and Harper Beresford for getting their images on SecondLife.com as well.

People always ask me how I get my picture on the SL main page, if it was some sort of contest I entered or something. Well, one of the Lindens emailed me and asked me to do it and I’m assuming that’s how the others that are there were approached as well. I’m not sure how the Lab heard of me, but I know one thing that might help you get noticed by them is by submitting your pictures to the Second Life Official Flickr Group! They choose a picture of the day from there every day to showcase. However, make sure to read the terms at the bottom of this page so you know what they can use your images for once you submit them there!
