I may have eaten a bit too much sugar and having way too much fun with the linden bear the past couple of days. That’s why this has ended up being the geekiest post ever. But it’s all good, I’m proud of my geekyness.
SL10B is just around the corner, the Grand Opening is on June 16th, and here’s what you can do to take part in all the celebrations:
Linden Lab is also holding a SL10B Celebration Snapshot Contest and the 1st prize is Homestead Tier paid for four (4) months! Talk about AWESOME, that’s even better than the creepy bear! I’m not sure if I’m going to enter this contest or not since I’m not allowed to photoshop but if I do, I’ll let you know!
The talented Dizzy Banjo recently contacted me to contribute to his Message in a Bottle exhibit that he is planning for SL10B. I decided I do want to do it, however it’s only supposed to be 10 seconds or less and I am a big time rambler. So I decided to make my own youtube video of what Second Life means to me, however, it’s 17 seconds long lol, so I am going to use soundcloud or something to send my audio recording once I get it down to 10 seconds. But to further geek up this post, here’s my youtube video of what I kind of want to say for this:
“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”
-William Shakespeare
(A Midsummer Night’s Dream, 1.1.231-2)
So today is day two of Avatar Blogger Month and I’m kind of patting myself on the back even though it’s only been two days but I’M SO PROUD I MADE IT THIS FAR! LOL I am going to see how long I can keep this up.
The first image you see in this post is a bit photoshopped but the second image is completely raw, I just cropped it. These days I noticed the only time I actually photoshop something is if I want to play with the colors a bit or just smooth something out or add a bit more flavor to the image. It’s just not as required like it was before.
In this post, both the floatie and the piggy in the teacup are made of mesh. My hair, bathing suit, ring, eyelids and hands are made of mesh. I’m using the Pink Fuel hand appliers for my SLink mesh hands so it was a perfect match. I’m super happy with the quality and creativity of the content these days and also with all the new features being added.
(raw shot from SL, just cropped)
The poses that you see in these pictures were actually part of the animation that is inside the floatie. However I did adjust them a bit using the Animare pose HUD. I wanted to move my hands around for the different shots and have them in different positions. You can see the original pose that came with the floatie at this link. I can’t tell you how many times the Animare HUD has helped me out. Sometimes poses just don’t fit because my hips are too big or my arms aren’t the right length, etc… so instead of editing my shape, I just pull out the HUD, adjust the position to make it fit and I’m good to go. Also, for only being L$299 it’s definitely a steal and a HUD I think that everyone should own.
On a final note, I know I said that tomorrow’s meme is going to be a hard one, well it’s turning out to be a bit difficult for me as well. :-/ If I don’t get it done in time then I might have to postpone it till next week and do something easy again tomorrow. But I haven’t given up today as of yet, so wish me luck!

The Arcade SL starts this Saturday, June 1st at midnight SLT. You can check out The Arcade Shopping Guide for a glimpse at everything that’s available.
This is the first time I’ve tried eyes from Dead Apples. I love how unique they are and even though they are not the kind of eyes I would wear every day, I will definitely take them out for some exotic looks once in a while. They are only L$25 per play and 25 colors to win! Both mesh and texture options are included and they are of course transferable! I really recommend playing this machine at least a few times because it’s a great price to try them out.
The skin I’m wearing is also available at the Arcade, from Glam Affair. The Lulu skin is L$100 per play and 12 tones and makeups to win. I am wearing one of the rare tones, #11.
Mandala has released the first part of their summer collection and let me tell you, it’s incredible! It’s a massive release with pieces for both men and women. Today I’m sharing the Nyorai set in silver. I will be blogging lots more from this collection very soon. In the meantime, you can click over to their blog for pictures of all the releases and then hop on over to marketplace or the mainstore for a closer look.
You’re probably wondering why there are two crops of the same image in this post. Well the first image I wanted to give a bit of a closeup to the eyes and jewels but the second image I wanted to use to remind you guys that the Truth Model Search contest that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago is soon coming to an end and you only have another day or so to enter. You can click over and join the Truth Model Search flickr group. One thing I did notice is that some of the images are not in compliance with the rules of the contest. The minimum picture size has to be 2048 x 2048 pixels. Make sure to read the description of the group at the bottom for all of the rules. I believe this is the first contest I have ever seen that has had that many entries. Currently I am looking at 1563 entries with 1142 members in the group. I don’t envy Mr. Hawks, it’s going to be a tough call to pick the winners as so many of you have done an amazing job. Good luck to you all! <3
There are a lot of things that I found incredibly amusing about this whole wedding day and I wanted to share them in detail.
Mr. Jefferson’s closest friends are both girls and Eve’s closest friends are all boys so the wedding party actually switched roles. I must admit I giggled when I found out that Monica Outlander and I were going to be the groomsmaids and Maddox DuPont, Jax Aster and Zachary Zufreur were going to be the bridesmen.
The bride and groom decided to troll their wedding guests by setting up a prank wedding that would be a bloody, cliche vampire theme, at which the bride would throw a tantrum and leave the groom at the altar. He would then teleport out after her. The wedding party were supposed to react and create more drama and then eventually we would teleport all the guests to the real venue and have the ceremony there. It was absolutely hilarious!
They made me wear this blood dress for the prank wedding, which I admit wasn’t THAT bad, *coughs* but I was encouraged to be dramatic about it on plurk and you know me, I love me some fake drama so I totally did my part and threw a hissy fit all over plurk. I’m still laughing about it and of course still being dramatic because I do that so well.
While the guests were filing into the prank wedding venue, the wedding party was in conference giggling at how “polite” the guests were trying to be about the decor and our outfits. I laughed so much my tummy hurt.
Right as the bride started the fake drama, I CRASHED! LOL So I actually missed all of that but by the time I logged back on both the bride and groom had gone already. Which helped me a little bit because I was all like, “uh, what happened? I crashed.” I also at the moment got a bunch of IMs from some of the guests asking if what was going on was real or fake and I was like, “I DUNNO, I CRASHED!” meanwhile DYING laughing the whole time.
Then I asked the guests to stay seated till we figure out what to do. The whole wedding party teleported to the new venue, changed into our “real” wedding outfits and had the guests come over there.
The ceremony itself took place at Momento Mori, which is a breathtaking sim! The bride looked absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t stop staring at her dress and veil, it was all just perfection. Their vows almost brought me to tears. It was such a beautiful moment and I was so happy to be there standing beside my best friend on his special day. I know how happy Eve makes him and they both deserve to be happy together.
After the ceremony we all went to a third location for the party. It was setup like a carnival and everyone had a blast. I even got to slow dance with the hot DJ so that was the perfect end to the most perfect day.
During the whole wedding I had my graphics on low and no shadows to minimize crashing (and I still crashed, TWICE). But because of that, I did not get any nice pictures of the ceremony itself. The first two pictures in this post of me alone were taken before the wedding. I just went earlier to the location to take some snaps for a blog post because I absolutely loved this dress that Monica Outlander made for me. This Esther dress is one of her latest releases for Miamai. So you can pick up one for yourself. Just not in the color I’m wearing since this combination was created special for the wedding. However, she does have it available in seven other colors.
If you would like to see more pictures of the wedding ceremony itself and my infamous prank groomsmaid dress that I threw a hissy fit over, you can click over to Magenta Devinna’s flickr set as she’s got some nice ones in there. The third pic I took in this post was one with low graphics and not the best quality so definitely check hers out.
It’s been quite an amusing and memorable day. Thank you Winter and Eve for letting me be a part of your special day and for making it so much fun and hilarious. I laughed till my cheeks hurt! I adore the both of you and wish you both an SLifetime of happiness and hot sex (I don’t need the details). <3

The doors to Collabor88 open in just a few hours and I believe you will find lots of creativity this month. The theme is “Rain or Shine” and it’s got me in an artsy mood. I decided to play with the first picture a little bit. I was trying to go for a painted look, not sure if I achieved it but I kind of like the way it turned out.
I thought I’d share the before version of the first shot as well so you can see more of the detail on the dress and parasol from Schadenfreude. I also adore the hair from D!va, the twist in the back had me swooning on plurk earlier.
And the most exciting thing for me is more Glam Affair skin. I love the way Glam Affair just fits my shape and Aida has released two skin tones this month. I’m also patiently waiting for her to release the SLink mesh feet and hands appliers. She’s got the kit and currently working on it, I’m excited to get my hands on them.
