So I’m back with another male fashion post. This time I persuaded my friend Cheyn Lane to strike a pose for me. Although I was normally used to seeing him looking like this, I was pleasantly surprised to find him looking like THAT. I guess I have a thing for powerful, dangerous looking men with tattoos.

I still remember the first time Mr. Lane and I hung out, I think it was a little over two years ago and we were discussing animations because he was thinking of getting into the pose business. We somehow ended up at Bits and Bobs trying out the difference dance and other animations. We were so engrossed in our IM that while we were just hopping from ball to ball we didn’t even realize that we had ended up on some sex ball. I couldn’t stop laughing….yeah, good times! And get yer minds out of the gutter, we were completely clothed and it was totally innocent! :P

Anyhow, this is a very different fashion post, which I like. Mr. Lane’s really into roleplaying these days and teleported me to this gorgeous sim which I unfortunately can’t share the slurl to since it is a closed rp sim. But wow was it gorgeous!

I actually know quite a lot of people that are into roleplaying, I never actually dabbled in it myself but I do hang out with them from time to time. I am thinking of sneaking back into this sim some time if I can, I would love to take more pictures there.

Since I was young my dream has been to one day visit the Middle East, especially Dubai. Inshallah this dream will come true very soon. For now I have the opportunity to visit the virtual Middle East on the Middle East sim. The Middle East sim is founded and co-built by iRmE Nayar. I had a talk with Irme about this endeavor.

He’s been working on this build for a while. Half of the sim shows a timeline, of the past and the present. The high-rise buildings are real life replicas that can be found in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai. Then there is also a place of worship, with a link to an xstreet listing where you can pick up a Quran free of charge. But the part I’m most excited about is the Middle East Learning Center where they will be holding classes FREE OF CHARGE for anyone that is interested in learning Arabic, or learning how to build in Second Life. This is one sim that is definitely a must visit.

Clothing Fair – Delhi Sim

Second Life’s 4th Annual Clothing Fair benefiting Relay for Life is set to launch on Saturday, March 13th at 3pm slt and run through Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 9pm SLT. Prepare to be immersed in 8 of the greatest “Fashion Cities of the World” surrounding a center sim patterned after the UN Sculpture Gardens containing sculptures from some of SL’s most talented artists.

Clothing Fair – Delhi Sim

The sim I am covering in this post is the Delhi sim. The Delhi sim was designed and built by Grace Loudon, Sean Devin and Kriss Lehmann. This sim will have 19 of SL’s most culturally diverse designers. The setting alone is stunning as you can see from the first two pictures. The designs I am wearing in all three pictures will be available at the clothing fair on the Delhi sim from Haven Designs, FakE and Zaara.

The return of opulence as Shai Delacroix comes out of hiding to set up a new Casa Del Shai blog and upcoming releases on their way.

We are all familiar with Shai’s class and eye for detail that can be seen in her designs. She is one of my most favorite content creators on the grid, and in my eyes one of the most talented as well.

Her Egyptian themed releases really caught my attention as the texturing and level of thought and detail that went into each creation was absolutely amazing.

I can’t wait to see what she has planned for her upcoming release. Remember to update your rss readers, blogrolls, etc.. to include her new url, which is: CasaDelShai.com.

Unlike the Black and White Taj sims, (which are loosely based on the original Taj Mahal in Agra, India) The Taj Mahal in The Lost City on the sim France3D Virtualya is an exact replica of one of the seven wonders of the world!

I’ve not had the opportunity to actually visit the Taj in RL, hopefully one day I will. For now, this will suffice! :)

Banjaran is the hindi word for gypsy. Gypsy’s are known to travel in tribes all over South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Russia and Northern Africa. When Mr. Don Hosho shared the slurl to this gorgeous Egyptian Temple, I knew I wanted to blog it.

Then last night Leah McCullough of Naive released this exotic top and skirt that had a gypsy feel to it. I thought what a perfect way to shoot the temple, I could be a banjaran traveling through Egypt. (Can you tell I like roleplaying? :P)

When I went to accessorize, I realized that the red gypsy set by Hibiscus Flossberg of Puarangi Designs and the top and skirt from Leah were a match made in heaven. Hibi also makes adorable little tamborines that I love and of course forgot to take a pic of. :P Leah and Hibi are some of my favorite content creators because they are both so kind and caring. Recently Hibi made a special Hello Kitty ring on my request that has been getting rave reviews so she made a whole set now to accompany it. :D And Leah just released the cutest tees last night which she named after me! Thank you Leah and Hibi! <3

The poses I used for this post are from the fabulous new Prima Donna set that was just released @ Diesel Works. So take a moment to visit all of these places so you too can feel like a banjaran traveling from sim to sim. :P
