I don’t know if any of you have a group of friends who you play games with, but I do. My group of friends consists mainly of my girlfriend Bethany, her RL friends Ray and Destiny and SL buddies Phemie and Garrett. We play games like Tera, to Minecraft, but today we decided to contribute to the internet phenomenon known as HARLEM SHAKE.
Second Life is a brilliant place for creativity and expression. We all know this, and sadly sometimes the outside world doesn’t. But here I am, humping the thin air wearing a stormtrooper mask, surrounded by individuals with some sense of individualism that can be overlooked in this game, because all that second life is, is individualism. I’m humping the air but at the same time I’m bloody loving it, and the angry person with the troll face behind me, and even the horse, is loving it too. Something inside me wants to facebook this shit to my friends, but I know half of them will be like “WTF IS THIS SECOND LIFE SHIT?” … so therefore I don’t, but thats ok, because not everyone I know understands the virtual world and it’s attractions.
My main point is NOT that Second Life is what you want it to be, it’s NOT that people on the ‘outside’ don’t understand us and will never appreciate… rather it’s that we know how to have fun, in our study rooms, in our bedrooms and in our computer rooms… where our friends join us to do stupid things, pointless meaningless things, together. Friends we might only see once a year, once a millennium…who knows…
… Let us not forget the limits of Second Life, let us embrace the limits it challenges us with, and dare to overcome them.
I have had too much wine, so I’m going now to pass out. Have a merry bloody evening everyone xxx

Last month, I was contacted by the very sweet Gabrielle Linden to do the “Look of the Month” for this special birthday issue. I was requested to style a party look using balloons and hats and all. I was totally excited to be asked to do this!
Well I had done my look and then kind of forgot about it until just a bit ago when a friend messaged me and said “congrats I just saw you on Look of the Month!”
For some reason I haven’t received the email yet myself but luckily it is available to view on the web so I got to see it! The pictures you see here are just screenshots of the newsletter because I wanted to keep a copy of it for myself. On June 23rd Second Life turns 8 years old and although I only discovered SL about 4 years ago, it has enriched my life so much. I feel very fortunate and thankful for everything that has happened in my SL and all the wonderful people that I have met and learned from. SL has done so much for me and I’m very happy to be a part of this wonderful community.

Lately it seems that almost everyone is obsessed with Fox’s musical comedy, Glee. The show revolves around a highschool glee club and all the crazy adventures they get themselves into. I must admit I wasn’t that interested in watching it at first, however Mr. Revolution threatened me with divorce if I didn’t give it a chance. So I looked it up on Hulu and have been a fan ever since.
A couple of weeks ago, talented photographer and blogger, Makenzie Irling came up with the idea of creating and photographing the Glee cast in Second Life. She plurked about it and immediately had a bunch of volunteers for the different characters involved in the show.
I think the person that was most excited about Kenzie’s project was none other than Mr. Catero Revolution himself. He couldn’t wait to transform himself into the adorable Mr. Schuester. I think it’s definitely a job well done. After that he made me transform myself into April Rhodes, hence the photo above. I can’t help but to laugh at myself but it was all good fun.

I know what you’re thinking! You’re thinking that Berry has no idea that she is all dressed up as a baseball playing princess while standing in a soccer field (or football for you perhaps :P). Trust me, I know I am in a soccer field and I know all the differences between those two sports (I think) No really, I do! :/
Anyhow here’s the story behind these pictures. I’ve been wanting to shoot pictures in this gorgeous soccer stadium for about 2 weeks now ever since the owner, John Zelnik, contacted me to start an advertising campaign on my site. The sim immediately caught my attention because it is so unique. The name of the sim is Virtual Bosphorus & FC Inter SL and it is the first and only Turkish Linden Lab Community Gateway. They have orientation information in both the Turkish and English languages for the SL Turkish and other communities. They have been around for over 2 years and have created a fully functional stadium where matches are actually played. They also have a virtual soccer academy where they teach residents how to play soccer in SL. The sim is quite big and has great traffic so it’s also a great place to rent a satellite store since they have a mall surrounding the stadium. If you are looking for a great rental spot or more information about the soccer academy, club that can be rented for parties or anything at all, feel free to contact John Zelnik for further information. Him and his wife, Princess Dikes, are the owners and are very friendly and helpful.
So I was on the hunt for a cute soccer outfit to shoot on the sim when Eboni Khan dropped this latest SLDD exclusive baseball princess uniform. I tried to look for a baseball sim but I couldn’t find one. How the heck does SL not have a baseball sim??? Srsly people?? Or perhaps I missed it, I dunno. Anyhow, I just thought this outfit was totally adorable and it comes with the baseball bat and three cute poses from Glitterati. Talk about an awesome deal! So if you haven’t signed up for SLDD this month, I suggest you do, so you can get your hands on this baby that is already available in the store right now.

Oh btw, I totally messed up the prims on the skirt because I’m so brilliant and didn’t notice until after I had finished photoshopping. There is supposed to be a very pretty white belt that should be visible above the prim skirt, but I had my prims too high when I snapped the pics.
