Tuli has released a new skin line by the name of Sara, and it is delectable. I love the way Tuli’s skins always make me feel pretty, girly and youthful. Sara comes in 10 gorgeous tones (fair, pale, peach, pearl, powder, sunkissed, tan, bronze, mocha and petal). I am wearing the bronze tone. Each tone comes with lots of makeup and tattoo makeup options. Also available are eyelash tattoos, three different brow options, cleavage options and several eyebrow shapers. My colorful dress is called Kamasutra and is a new release from Fellini Couture. Now you know I am obsessed with anything bollywood and as soon as I put this outfit on and started dancing one of my fav bollywood songs popped into my mind. It’s called “mujhe rang de” and it kind of translates into “color me” It’s a fun and flirty song and I think suits this dress wonderfully. I love doing these kinds of pictures, I hope you like the song too! <3

I’m very happy and excited to announce a new adventure I have started. The Avenue magazine team have invited me to write a monthly column by the name of Vignettes. Similar to my blog, it will be a little glimpse into my style and photography and of course as always, some rambling. :)

For April there was a whole spring theme going on in the magazine so I figured I’d join along and covered some wonderful sims that were full of “spring-ness.”

One thing I love about Second Life is that you can be whatever shape you want to be. But I do have my days where I look at my shape and think hmmmmmm… are my hands massive? Are my arms too short? Is my head gibungus? Should I make myself taller? I suck at making shapes myself cuz I don’t think I’m very good with proportions (Mr. Revolution made these beauties for me) so I thought I would give you guys my digits and see how I compare and what everyone thinks is the “norm” (if there is such a thing?) I’m not talking about skinny, fat, big-boobed, big-assed, or even height for that matter. I’m actually just talking about proportions and if mine actually work.

A few things I do like about my shape: I seem to fit well into many different poses, I never have to adjust any Truth hair for my head and all prim nails usually fit me perfectly. So I’m not sure if I actually want to change my shape at all, I’m pretty happy with it. I just want to compare numbers and see what the average is and what people normally lean towards. So if you are willing to share your digits, please do. Leave them in the comments or do your own post about it. I would love to see all the varying avs.

I’m doing it for both of my avs because I always feel like my male av’s hands are really big and I actually recently made them a lot smaller but you guys tell me what you think. I’m just going to share a few of the digits, not everything! :P Here goes…

I know it’s kinda silly of me to stress about my proportions in a virtual world, but it’s also kinda fun to see all the variations we can play with. BTW, if you’re wondering what started all this, I was just looking at the image I did for yesterday’s blog post and felt that my hands just looked MASSIVE in it. So I plurked about it here and the plurkers gave me some great insight into proportions. Thanks guys!

I was recently going through all my poses that I have dumped into one big folder named “poses” (aren’t I so organized?) to get them all in order and into the PoseAnywhere Hud (which is my new addiction) when I found a folder of these fabulous Vog poses from Status. I absolutely LOVE the attitude in this pose set and I also love that you can pick up the whole set for only L$100. Check out the Status marketplace or visit them inworld.

While I was writing the credits below and looking up all the designer’s profiles, I noticed that majority of people have their profiles wiped clean. SL keeps doing that to mine as well and then I have to go and redo it every other week. But I figured I’d point it out to y’all in case a lot of you are not on viewer 2 and might have no idea that your profiles look blank to the rest of us. One way to check is go to your profile on the web, this is mine – https://my.secondlife.com/strawberry.singh just replace my name with yours to check yours. Another good thing to check is also your privacy settings which you will need to login to get to. A few weeks ago I had to mess with my privacy settings because people were not able to see my picks and groups unless they logged in. You can set your privacy settings to however you would like them.

But I have to admit that I really feel like I’m part of this big community on Twitter and there is just so much information I have picked up and learned from the others. A lot of people say Twitter is very difficult for them to grasp and find it hard to follow and interact with others there. But I really think that using an app of some sort to watch Twitter makes it a lot easier. I use Seesmic and I have been pretty happy with it so far. It really helps in organizing whichever hashtags you wish to follow. It’s definitely a great networking tool and, unlike plurk which is more of a playground for me where I can be goofy or whatever, I feel different on Twitter. It’s a completely different environment and I am definitely loving it.
