I’m really looking forward to judging this contest and seeing all the stylish entries!!! I also wanted to give a shout out to ICON Magazine for the interview they did of the adorable Sawyer Campese. Check out his interview in the July issue of ICON on pages 94-99.

Belleza released this male skin, Ashton, a few weeks ago. I love the little age lines on the face, they are so well done! Belleza always manages to make some of the best male skins on the grid. If you haven’t tried out Ashton yet, swing by the store and pick up a demo.

Hair Fair started this past weekend and unfortunately I was busy eating lots of bbq so I wasn’t able to get there yet. Hopefully within the next few days I’ll stop by and check it all out. The hair I’m wearing is currently available at Hair fair in the Discord Designs booth.

Ladies who Lunch just had a big release with the funky harem pants, and gorgeous shemaghs and hijabs. The best thing is, it’s all unisex! :D As soon as I put the outfits on, one of my fav songs, Habibi ya nour el ain, popped into my head.

Also, just wanted to mention something that was added to the Firestorm Beta Viewer today. Bloggers will have a easier time crediting everything for their blog posts now thanks to Sixx Yangst who created this jira a few weeks ago and the Firestorm team has already implemented it in their latest update. I actually downloaded and logged into Firestorm for the first time today to test it out and it worked brilliantly. I was able to copy directly into this blog post the credits below from Firestorm. However, I did rearrange them and add designer’s names myself. Way to go Sixx and Firestorm team! I am hoping that my favorite viewer, Kirstens, also adopts this very soon!

In honor of Social Media Day I thought I would blog about two new social networks I just joined yesterday –> Google+ and AvMatch.

Google+ is google’s new social network that is predicted to leave facebook behind in the dust. I think this will be a great alternative for Second Lifers who have been kicked off facebook (read my blog post about that). Currently Google+ is invite only. I got an invite because of some of my empire avenue friends. I sent out a bunch of invites to SLers on my plurk timeline last night, however now I am out of invites. If you are on Google+, feel free to add me, this is my profile – https://plus.google.com/116984572652030094246 – I am wondering if Google is going to give us a way to personalize that url? Is there already a way to do that? Let me know if I am missing it!

Here’s a few ways you can import your facebook contacts into Google+:
Girlfriend Social – Through Yahoo using csv file
Chrome Extension – Facebook Friend Exporter

Please note I have not tried the above two methods and I’m not sure what Facebook’s reaction will be regarding taking that information from their site but I just thought I would share the options in case any of you wanted to know how to do that.

The other social network I joined recently is AvMatch. AvMatch is actually not a social network, but more a dating site. I figured since I’ve been SL single for a bit now, it would be fun to see what the dating scene is like in SL these days. To be honest, this is more of an experiment for me. I am not looking for a relationship or to actually date someone in SL, but I’m looking more for funny content to blog about. I thought it would be amusing to chronicle my SL dating adventures on my blog some times.

Before y’all start yelling at me that I am toying with the site and not using it for what its real purpose is, please note that I have clearly stated on my AvMatch profile that I will be using it for these purposes and it’s up to the person contacting me to take that risk. I think it should be an interesting social experiment and might even result in some hilarious blog posts. Or maybe I won’t get any responses or dates LOL, we will see!

I’m not going to give my AvMatch profile address, but it’s really not that hard to find me on there! :D Y’all should sign up for AvMatch too and join the fun.

AvMatch was created by Mason Kingsford, who also created 2ndHub – a facebook-like social network that is JUST for SecondLifers. Add me on 2ndHub if you’re on! I try and login there to bother everyone whenever I remember to!

Happy Social Media Day!

Unfortunately I’m feeling quite under the weather today and having trouble concentrating. But photoshopping pictures and sipping ginger-ale is making me feel a bit better. I asked my plurky friends to help me out with writing my blog post cuz I am just not in a writing mood at the moment and no one volunteered. That’s how much they love me. I even offered sex and cookies but still no takers. Then I got this magical email from Mr. Winter Jefferson offering his services. I was so delighted and thankful….until he sent it to me!

The following is the lovely Mr. Jefferson’s contribution:

“Hey bitches; I’m Berry. Why do they call me Berry? Because I’m sweet and juicy and luscious but also in certain people I’ll cause your throat to close up and give you a rash….

Don’t hate me because I am looking amazing in this today. Well you can hate, but try not to let it show. It’s called “Original Sin from Defectiva” and it’s red and passionate and pulls across my rack in the most realistic way I’ve ever seen. Go ahead, poke your finger right in the middle, it wont pop I swear! It’s a good thing it comes with this sexy posture collar that forces my chin up, otherwise I’d be checking myself out all day.

In all seriousness, Defectiva released this gorgeous outfit yesterday in 3 sensational colors. Designer Disembodied Hand is incredibly talented. I asked him where he gets his continuous inspiration from and he said it comes from his noodle and then we ended talking about angel hair pasta…I dunno. LOL Anyhow, take the slurl and check it out!

So I tricked another innocent guy to pose for my male fashion posts. :D

Ok fine! I admit that Lulu has been asking me to take his picture for about 6 months now but I was too scared to because HELLO! He is THE LULU JAMESON! I was totally too intimated but then I thought of this evil plan to ask him to be on my blog so I can make fun of him. But I was nice and told him ahead of time about my plan and then he threatened me. YES PEOPLE!! LULU JAMESON THREATENED ME! He is doing a picture of me in return and said he would wait to process it and if I said anything mean he would draw mustaches on me. :(

So you know what that means right? Yup, I’m gonna go ALL OUT! Let’s start with how I actually met Lulu. OH YES! When the talented Miss Gabrielle Sinatra took my picture back in 2008 Lulu was ALL OVER IT flirting with me. But I promised that I wouldn’t link to that picture and embarrass him further. However, I didn’t promise that I wouldn’t link to this picture on my stream. muahaha :D That’s the first picture Mr. Lulu Jameson ever did of me. He was so sweet and shy when I met him that day, it was totally adorable! LOL Then of course, a few months later I ran into him at LE.LOOK! when he was all neko’d out. Look, I have the pic to prove it! :D

So now that I have blogged all of this, I am sure you will be seeing a picture of me soon covered in mustaches, but that’s ok because it was totally worth it! :P

Honestly though, Lulu’s work is incredibly inspiring and he is one of the most sweetest, humble, caring and talented people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is one of the photographers I look up to and strive to be like.
