LeLutka Simone Bento Mesh Head

LeLutka Simone Bento Mesh Head

The LeLutka Simone Bento mesh head will be released on December 19th. You can click over to the LeLutka blog for full information about LeLutka Bento Heads, but I also want to share a few things about this head:

  • Price: The price of the head will be L$5000. Please note that if you have previously purchased the regular Simone head, make sure you are wearing it when you go to purchase this bento version. If you are wearing the Simone head while you purchase, you will automatically receive a L$2500 instant rebate. Details about this on LeLutka’s new blog post.
  • Mesh Body Required: As is the case with all LeLutka heads, you need either a Maitreya or SLink mesh body to wear with it as  LeLutka heads are not compatible with system default avatars.
  • Omega Compatible: This LeLutka head is now omega compatible. You need to purchase and use the Omega Relay HUD for LeLutka in order to apply omega skins and layers to it.
  • Bento Viewer: In order to view and use this head properly, you need to make sure your viewer is updated with Bento capabilities. Both the official Second Life viewer as well as Firestorm have released official bento viewers now.
  • HUD: The head comes with one main HUD that has been completely revamped from previous LeLutka mesh head releases. The HUD has 4 main tabs:
    1. The Essentials Tab:  consists of the default skins it comes with (by Glam Affair), makeup & tattoo layers, lashes, hairbases, scalp and ears hide/show and more.
    2. The Animate Tab: consists of your mood selection, expressions, talk on/off, parted lips, blink, eyelids and eyes. This head has such smooth expressions, watch my video below to see them!
    3. The Personalize Tab: in this tab you can use your own full perm textures to personalize your look using your own skin and makeup.
    4. The Options Tab: this tab will help you keep the head updated, trigger animations and gestures, repair transparency and materials, restore factory settings, kill scripts (make a copy of your head first before doing this), and more.
  • Customer Service Questions: If you have any questions about this head, it would be best if you looked at the designer’s profile, her name is Jadenart, to see how she prefers to be contacted for customer service issues as I will probably not be able to assist you with that. The LeLutka CSR is Mavi Beck, you can also contact her.

Watch my video on youtube where I go into detail about everything this head can do: https://youtu.be/PCq_MKuagos

I have to admit, out of all of the Bento mesh heads I have tried so far, this one is the most polished. The response to the sliders as I change my appearance is so smooth. No bumps, lumps or issues with the head when I’m adjusting my shape. The expressions are incredibly lifelike (watch the video) and also very smooth. I also love the look of the HUD. I love that it minimizes into a small little area at the bottom of my screen so I can open it quickly for easy access. The HUD is fast and efficient and just so intuitive.

As soon as this head is released to the public, I will update my blog post here with more details such as pricing etc. In the meantime, keep an eye on LeLutka’s flickr for the release updates and also join their inworld group, they just sent a beautiful Christmas tree as a gift! You can also watch the LeLutka Flickr Group for all of the beautiful images that the bloggers are posting.

Berry ,great video as always.I’m excited to see LeLuka bento head. I like those animations. Is there any news with the various mesh bodies like Maitreya, Slink, Belleza , etc if they are going to be doing a bento update for hands or even feet? I’d also be happy if there are new animation over rides released that take advantage of bento. I’ve been a big fan of Catya’s head from Catwa but this new one looks good. Thanks again, and have a Merry Christmas, happy Holidays.

  • Berry, That was a awesome Tutorial about the new bento head from Lelutka. I always went for lelutka instead of others and im super excited to see this new one hit the stores soon. I guess i’ll be front row for that one. Wish you happy holidays and look forward to see what 2017 will bring for you. I always been a fan from your tutorials, and i hope there will be a lot more. Much love.

great video!! Do you know if Laq has any plans on creating a bento head?

  • Nirmita

That Tram hair is fabulous! I love short hair and have long bemoaned the lack of short hair designs in SL, and I had never heard of tram. Tram has so many cute, short styles, I’m totally in love with them. Thanks for wearing that hair!

  • Thanks you guys! I’m glad you liked the video.

Mazikeen, the only thing that I’ve heard about the bodies is that Maitreya is working on bento hands for their body, but they are nowhere near release so not sure when they will come out.

Ashira, I haven’t heard about any bento news from Laq or any other mesh head makers aside from the ones I have listed in this post: https://strawberrysingh.com/2016/12/06/bento-live-second-life-viewer

Also just wanted to send an update. LeLutka has released a new blog post this morning with more information about pricing and release date. I’ve updated my post with it above but just sharing it here as well. The head will be released next week and the price will be L$5000. You can read the LeLutka post at this link: http://lelutka.com/blog/prerelease-info-about-simone-2-0-bento-mesh-head/

  • I only have one question, as a blogger, do the expression freeze for photo ability? Would be so helpful if they did instead of trying to time it perfectly.

  • Venom, no I didn’t see any kind of freeze or continuous play capabilities.

    Great tutorial!
I love the detailed nose, the intuitive HUD and, of course, the animations that are incredibly realistic.
But I really hope the ‘outer eye corner’ can respond properly to the slider movement. This slider is very useful to create more unique eyes, in my opinion.
I can’t wait to try the demo!!

Based on this post, which was shared by someone on Lumae group chat, I have sprung for this, head! It is, fabulous! Had looked at Catwa and was a little bit underwhelmed by the hud…this one, however, is very polished! I am now, also, hooked on your posts. Can’t wait, for the next, one. 🙂 Merry Christmas! May 2017 bring you all the happiness you deserve, and prosperity.

I have the LeLutka Bento and I am getting reports from others that they can see my face, my hair but they can not see my head.

  • Kelly Larin

Correction, they can see my eyes and hair but not my head.

  • Hey Kelly, it may be that they are not using Bento updated viewers, that’s why the bento head is not viewable to them? If that’s not the case, then not sure why that may be happening as I haven’t had any issues rezzing the head on myself or others that I’ve seen wearing them.

  • Chris Werb

Great review as always! Can I just ask if this head had random eye and eyelid movement? That always makes an avi much more realistic to me.

I just picked up the DEMO from the Simone Bento Head, so far i like the head. From the Bento Heads i come across the LeLutka HUD is the best; Simple, clear 🙂 Immidiately tried to change the nose into a more, sloped one (for me) possibly with a bump on it. I miss Bento heads with more larger and crooked noses, any suggestions Berry?
