Fame HUD in Second Life

Fame HUD in Second Life

A new HUD has hit the Second Life marketplace that has a completely different concept and idea and it’s actually rather fun. The Fame HUD by Ryan Dayton lets you walk around with 5 mesh cameras clicking around you as if you are a celebrity. In the video I said this would be an interesting HUD for roleplayers or live performers but I think anyone that wants to have a bit of fun with the HUD will probably enjoy it.

Here are some of the key features of this HUD:
• 5 mesh cameras follow you everywhere, appearing in random combinations.
• Cameras automatically activate while you walk or run.
• Easily switch off or mute the cameras with the HUD.
• Teleporting triggers several exposures for a grand entrance.
• Free updates delivered directly to your inventory.

Here’s my video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UCuAZ2QiODY

It’s a pretty entertaining little HUD and even though I can’t see myself using it, I think it’s definitely well done and a very fun idea!

UPDATE: I realized the perfect person this HUD was made for is none other than the infamous Swirly Cyclone, so of course I had to send her the HUD! If you don’t know who Swirly Cyclone is, she is the epitome of fabulousness. She was a resident from 2007 to 2010 and then she disappeared, only to return in June 2016 and grace us with her presence again. Check out Swirly’s blog and flickr

The gown that I’m wearing is from Hucci. It’s called Jinxi and was released a while back, however when it was released it came in SLink fit and standard sizing. Now, she is about to release it in a Maitreya fit very soon, so make sure to visit the Hucci mainstore or check out her marketplace for the update.

I wore this gown for a Drax Files World Makers episode that Eboni was featured in last month. The first 25 seconds of the video you can see Manberry and me roleplaying a rich couple living a luxurious life with a closet full of clothing while Eboni talks about how great Second Life is for escapism. Majority of the clothing I’m wearing in that video and the items you see in the closet are all from Eboni’s store.

Eboni’s story is also quite inspirational because in the video she explains how she’s a single mother in the real world and after losing her job as an IT Manager during the recession, she became a Second Life entrepreneur.  This episode was released June 8th and if you haven’t watched it as of yet, I cannot recommend it enough.

Watch it on YouTube now: https://youtu.be/zjtleEo2FX0

Now go visit the Hucci mainstore and send Eboni some love! <3
