It’s Super Tuesday!
For us Americans, it’s ‘Super Tuesday’ today. ‘Super Tuesday’ is the unofficial name for a Tuesday (March 1st this year) during the US Presidential Primary election when the largest number of states hold their primaries or caucuses. These are the States participating today: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia for both Republicans and Democrats. Republicans in Alaska, Democrats in Colorado and Democrats in American Samoa will hold their caucuses today. If you are in any of these places, please take the time to vote today if you can!

I’ve shared the following image before but I think it’s very important so I am going to share with you again in hopes that it resonates with you.
As you can tell from the first image, Draxtor Despres and I are feeling the Bern. You probably already knew that from my #BerniePromposal post. I will be voting for Bernie Sanders in my State on March 15th. If you are a Bernie supporter as well, there is an inworld group that you can join (for free) called: Vote Bernie Sanders 2016 created by resident Macaria Wind. The group has a Bernie Sanders SL Headquarters inworld at this link. If you go there, you can pick up that Bernie Bear Drax and I are posing with for FREE. There is also a donation thermometer there and all donations to it are going directly to Bernie Sanders campaign. So far $35 has already been donated. Macaria has put up the receipts to those donations there as well. It also has a lot of information about Bernie if you wish to learn more about him. So head down to the headquarters, join the group, donate if you can and feel the Bern with us! (Please note: this group is not affiliated with the official Bernie Sanders campaign in the real world.)
No matter who you plan to vote for, just make sure you do vote and have your voice heard. People have lost their lives over the chance to vote. As a citizen, it is your right to vote, take advantage of it!

I’m a registered Libertarian here in Colorado. I love, love, love how you explain all of this because not only do I think it’s useful for people from other countries, to help them understand the intricacies of how American presidential elections work, but also I think there are likely a lot of Americans who benefit.
I also just love how you encourage people to participate in this process, regardless of political leanings (even though we all definitely know you’d like us to vote for Bernie, lol).
I find your interest and active participation in politics refreshing and encouraging. I think more people need to get involved.
Also, is the Bernie HQ in SL an official thing? Or something set up by volunteers and supporters? Just curious if someone involved in his campaign decided to tap into SL. That would be an interesting thing for politicians to do!
Thank you so much Lucie! I just really want people to vote, no matter who they vote for. And yes, would love it if they voted for Bernie lol, but it’s ok, what’s more important is they get their voice heard and vote with their heart!
