Samurai Cyrus Male Mesh Head

Samurai has been a brand in Second Life for about 3 years now creating male skins. Last November they entered the mesh head market with a release of their first mesh head named Cyrus. Then on January 1st of this year they released their Kyle head and soon, in a few days, they will be releasing the aged version of their Kyle head.

Today I am going to show you a glimpse of the Cyrus head. I have made a little video of it as well which is attached below. But first, here are some details about the head itself:

• Price: The price of the head is L$1890 and the DEMO is free. Both are available at the Samurai mainstore.
• Tones: It is currently available in 10 tones (5 dark tones and 5 light tones) and each tone is sold separately. I am wearing the darkest tone in this post (darker V2 tone 2.0).
• Appliers: When you purchase the head, you get one tone of your choosing along with a skin texture so you can wear with the SL default body. You can also purchase appliers for different mesh parts including SLink Physique mesh body, SLink mesh hands, SLink mesh feet, Lotus Cock, Auricle Mesh Ears, and Adam Mesh Body. I noticed all of the appliers were L$350 each.
• 3rd Party Face Appliers: As far as I know, this head has no third-party appliers for the face and is not Omega compatible either. You just wear it with the skin it comes with. I am not sure if that will change in the future. That is something you can contact the designer about, his name is Primrosestar.
• Animations: As far as I could tell, this head is not animated. I also tried typing in local chat to see if that triggered moving lips and it does not. The only thing you can do is have it pose with an open mouth using the HUD it comes with.

I am wearing the SLink male mesh body with the head, which fits seamlessly, and mesh eyes from Ikon.

I do like this head a lot. I think it’s well done and very handsome. However, I know people look for extra things like animations and expressions which can be fun, as well as, Omega compatibility or designer kits so there can be more options for skins. But both of these issues are not that important to me personally, as I don’t really use animations that much and I already like the skin it comes with a lot. It’s also, as far as I know, one of the cheapest mesh heads for men on the market at the moment. So if you are looking to update your avatar on a budget, this may be one you might want to DEMO.
