Live Streaming Second Life (Again)

Loch Noble

Today I had the chance to live stream once again, after a whole month! I continued sharing more photography tips, this time including my graphics settings. I also teleported over to the Hairology event and showed you guys some of the hair available for sale there. I explored a pretty autumn sim called Loch Noble and also talked about a few of the updates to the Catwa mesh heads.

Here is the link to the playlist I’ve made on youtube where I will add all of my live streaming videos: Strawberry Singh Live Streaming Second Life

The last time I blogged the Catwa mesh heads was back in September. I had just purchased the Jessica head and was showing all of the options. After that, during the month of October, she released a new head named Annie and also updated both heads numerous times. The latest version of both heads is 4.3. You no longer have to wear her shape, a lot of the alpha issues are fixed and many other updates. The cutest one is the addition of the mesh brain which I talked about in the live streaming. To get the updated heads, head down to the Catwa mainstore and hit the redelivery terminal.

In the streaming I also talked about my outfit a bit. I really liked it, especially the bag from Mutresse which has their great fabric changing HUD again. I showed it in detail in the video so you can see how it all works.

I really enjoyed streaming today and interacting with you guys as you watched. It was a lot of fun. It didn’t seem like I was just talking to myself because I was answering your questions at the same time. If you want to see the questions in the chat that I was responding to, you can see the archived chat of all my live sessions on my Youtube Gaming Channel.

I am going to try and do this more often. If you guys have more suggestions on what you would like to see me cover next, leave them in the comments!

UPDATE:

  • I was watching the youtube of your stream where you went to the Scottish themed sim. I have noticed that off-sim surrounds are often in place on sims where I deal with difficulty moving and lagging. I love the way they look but if it is a busy sim, sometimes I find that derendering the sim surrounds helps me be able to navigate better. I don’t think it is a problem with the surrounds themselves exactly, as they seem very well made, but it is such a big object to rez.

  • Thanks a lot for those tips, Berry. Some I knew, some not. Honestly I always saved my pics in JPEG format, thinking it’s the best quality format, but now I need to try PNG, want to see difference. And wanted to ask, which viewer you prefer for taking pics, cause I noticed you almost always used SL viewer, but at those videos it’s Firestorm.
Glad to see your posts again 🙂

  • Can i ask what is your AO?

  • Thank you for the post and video. At some point will you be editing a picture in photoshop from start to finish? Also any tips for people who doesn’t have amazing graphics like yours, is there a way for them to get great pictures while not having shadows?

  • Thea, yes I think you are def right about that. Whenever I visit sims with surrounds, I do feel the speed go down significantly. That’s a shame because they look beautiful.

Lady, yes saving in jpeg is just completely killing the image, png is the way to go!

Miri my AO is a mixture of breathing and walking animations from various Vista Animations sets.

Silver, I won’t be able to stream editing in Photoshop as youtube gaming only picks up the game screens. However I have done some video tutorials in the past that show how I edit pictures, here are a couple:

    and

If you can’t get shadows, the only thing I can suggest is to take the slider to as high as it will go in the graphics and then when taking an image, just take the biggest possible image you can and save to disk as a png. That should give you the best result your computer can handle.
