SLink Physique Hourglass Mesh Body

SLink Physique Hourglass Mesh Body (click here for a raw shot)

Siddean Munro of SLink released her new hourglass mesh body late Friday and I’ve been away for the weekend so didn’t get a chance to try it on till today. The first thing I noticed was how extreme the curves looked on my regular shape. My waist was incredibly small compared to my breasts and hips. So I decided to play with my shape a bit to make it look a bit more naturally curvaceous.

I really liked the end result so I decided to make a shape exclusively for this body. I tried to make the face look similar to Priyanka Chopra. If you’re into bollywood or have been watching Quantico this season then you probably know who she is. I’ve wanted a shape that looked like her for the longest time now. Pretty sure I haven’t succeeded, lol, but I like it. Hope you like it too!

The shape is available in my marketplace store for L$99, and again, it is made exclusively for the SLink hourglass body and will not look good on its own. So please only purchase if you already have the hourglass body or if you are comfortable with editing sliders to achieve your desired look because the shape is copy and modify. (UPDATE – MY SHAPES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

Although I do like the body and can see myself wearing it sometimes when I want a more voluptuous look, I will still probably wear my Maitreya body more often because it works well with standard sizing, something that hourglass does not work with. The only real way to wear clothing with hourglass is to wear appliers that have already been made for the physique body or wait for designers to create fitmesh specifically made for this body.

I also prefer the HUD to Maitreya because the information is separated into pages and not squished onto just one screen. There is an easier way to change hand and feet positions directly from the HUD as well. Hopefully if SLink is able to work on updating the HUD a bit, I can see more people switching over to this because then it will be a lot more convenient and easy to work with. The body is very pretty and if you are into having more of a curvaceous shape, you will mostly probably love it! Just don’t be afraid to play with the sliders to give it your own personal touch.

Another wonderful thing about this body is that all previous SLink Physique appliers work well with it. I am wearing Physique Glam Affair applier for the skin and also the Physique tattoo applier from Letis Tattoo. It is also Omega compatible so you can use Omega appliers too.

If you are looking for mesh clothing to wear with this body, I believe only Blueberry has released that so far, other than some of the older clothing that has been updated at the SLink store itself. The body comes with fitmesh lingerie from Blueberry and a fitmesh dress was also released by Blueberry. For future releases, keep an eye on the Slink Avatar Enhancement Creations Flickr Group.

The price of this new body is L$1250. I noticed a few people were confused and were expecting an update for those that owned the SLink Physique body previously. Please note that this is not an update to the existing Physique body, but it is an entirely new body that Siddean has made after many requests for a more curvaceous body. I think she totally nailed those requests!

The DEMO to the body is not on marketplace as of yet so head down to the SLink mainstore to try it on now. The DEMO to the shape I’m wearing is available on marketplace at this link. If you have any CSR questions about this mesh body, unfortunately I will not be able to answer them. I suggest you contact SLink Resident for more detailed and correct info, they’re very good at getting back to you promptly.

Totally agree with the hud thing. The part I haven’t been able to get past with the Slink bodies are not the bodies themselves but how crowded and messy the hud looks. All the lines pointing to the part of the body makes it totally messy looking and unnecessary in my opinion. I agree at some point I’d love to see it move to tabs or at least those green lines be removed. Otherwise the bodies are great!

Great review and yes you do look similar to Priyanka, maybe you should have her big brown eyes too. But as to the shape, you nailed it.

  • I love the look of this body and shape. I may try to talk myself into changing after it has been out for a while. I am just now getting used to a mesh body and am trying the heads now. I could use your advice, if you don’t mind stopping by my blog. Your blog is what inspires me to try new things and change.

I don’t know, I mean… mesh heads and bodies? I don’t cope well with change.

  • I dont even notice or look at the green lines anymore. I have been using Physique for so long that I just know exactly which button to click to hide the parts that I want to hide. I was super excited that the HUD was the same so that I don’t have to learn a new one. I really like that she labeled each part with a word or a name because I am very linguistic and I like having those names. For example when something is poking out on my back near my underarm, I know that I have to go hit “Strap 2.” I love the words in the HUD. I prefer it to Maitreya’s hud where nothing is labeled and I have to try and remember which part of the body goes with my avatar without any names. I usually have to click around randomly til I figure it out on Mait. I am more lingual than visual-spatial.

  • Aubrey, yes separate tabs for each section would be a lot neater and easier to see and use.

Thank you Cheri, glad you like the shape!

Gilly your blog looks great. Do what makes you happy with it so you continue to love doing it. Also, thank you for the compliments on my blog!

    Mr. Jefferson, TROLL 😛 <3

Kirsten, I can understand what you're saying but most people are more visual, like myself, so it is definitely easier for me if the sections are more spaced out on different tabs.

I don’t know who is getting this but I have a problem with my hourglass slink mesh body

  • Klassy if you are having issues with the mesh body, I suggest contacting SLink Resident, that is the SLink CSR and they should be able to help you out.

  • Good day! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and say I truly enjoy reading your posts. Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same subjects? Many thanks!
