The Walking Dead
I am totally late to the party but several weeks ago I started watching “The Walking Dead” on Netflix and now I’m totally addicted. However, I have a somewhat love/hate relationship with that show. I love the story line and show itself but the gore and zombies are giving me some serious nightmares. I’m only on Season 3 and I’ve already been crying and screaming through almost every episode. But then again, I do scare somewhat easy.
I wasn’t sure if I would like it but a friend told me I HAVE to see it so I thought I’d give it a chance and now I’m so hooked. Now I just need to find out how many more seasons I need to see after the three that are on Netflix. Do you watch it? Does it get better as it progresses or do the zombies become tiresome to watch?
This is the first time I’m wearing hair from this new-to-me brand, Soonsiki. I think it was called Milk before. I love the wild curls in the hair, kind of gives me a messed up scared look. I added a pageant party girl sash to the outfit and I think along with the pose and the crazed look in my eye, I could almost pass for a zombie pageant queen, lol.

You should have started watching it from season 1, when it was more about the zombies and less about … whatever it’s about, now. That said, if you REALLY want a storyline that gets your hair standing up (and will break your heart, and make you cry, as it did me several times), check out the Telltale story arc. I feel like now I’m on the “eh…another zombie” phase. But I LOVE the storylines around the characters and how they’ve evolved.
The producers, writers and directors have taken quite a few liberties, straying from the graphic novels (according to my friend Keyser, who read the graphic novels already), but all in all it’s still stuck to the heart of the books.
But yeah…if you haven’t watched Game of Thrones, put that on your to-do list as well. Sadly it’s not on Netflix, but when you do find it…you’ll love it!
Also, both Millions Media and Lightening Video have all the seasons of TWD if memory serves. <3
Welcome to all things TWD Berry. I LOVE this show so hard, it’s well done and it just keeps getting better and better. In Season 4 you’ll get to see a lot more about the different members and how they got to where they are now and be ready for some major tears. I just read today that AMC is going to start filming a pilot later this year for a TWD spinoff that will deal with what’s going on in other places in the zombie-filled world. Should be good of some of the same team of people are working on it (writers, producers, etc) 😉
My story sounds so much like yours…I didn’t want to watch it even though I kept hearing how good it was. FINALLY I watched it with my younger son and after the first episode was hooked! I’m now caught up all the way through to season 4 on Netflix. I haven’t watched 4 just yet. I had heard season 3 was “slow” compared to the others before and after. All the people I talk to say they never get tired of it,still love it and are just addicted as ever, so I don’t think things change as far as how much fun it is to watch! That’s a good thing, yayy! Looking forward to 4 and will probably wait until 5 comes to Netflix to watch it. It would be hard watching one episode a week after watching entire seasons in a few days! Oh, and my favorite character to watch is Daryl, love him (my least favorite was Lori…she irritated me to no end and when she talked about thinking it might be best for Carl to pass on, that took the cake!).
I’m on season 4 now and crying my eyes out. I am going to keep watching it but I dunno if I should watch season 5 cuz it’s seriously giving me nightmares now, lol.
