Free Water Normal Maps by Trompe Loeil
A few weeks ago I blogged a water tutorial that required you guys to download the Flood plugin for photoshop. Today I’m blogging a tutorial that will let you play with water inworld, instead of photoshop.
The talented and very generous Cory Edo of Trompe Loeil has released 10 water normal maps for free which you can use to play around with inworld.
I decided to make a quick video to show you guys how I used them for the image in this post. It’s so simple and I’m sure will improve our inworld water pictures tremendously. Here’s the link to the video on youtube, and I’m also embedding it below: http://youtu.be/fx42Guezipg
You can pick up the water normal maps on marketplace for free. And here are some links to Trompe Loeil in case you’d like to stalk Cory:

Thank you Berry, always bringing us grest tips :))
Great*
Can I make a request for a Rain Tutorial when you return from vacation. It seems all of the great rainy sims have all closed but tips for creating rain in Photoshop would be great as well.
Have a great vacation Berry, you’ve earned it! 🙂

Thanks Berry. They look really nice!
You’re very welcome guys, hope you’re having fun with them! 😀
Silver, I actually use http://www.picmonkey.com whenever I want to add rain in my pictures. They have it under the water menu. Here’s a quick edit I did adding rain to the pic in this post: http://grabilla.com/04604-e6446610-5c17-4ed0-b869-860106ade668.png
It’s very easy to use. Hope that helps you out!
Looks like Berry caught inspiration away from the bustle. You post more and your pics are peaceful 🙂
Great post, keep going ♥
