Happy 6th Anniversary Tempura!
The Tempura Island family is celebrating 6 years in Second Life on May 25th. They first opened their doors in 2008 and I have pictures of myself at Tempura dating back to August of 2008. I spent many days and nights there just dancing, talking, kissing, and falling in love. I always found it to be one of the most romantic and magical places in Second Life.
In celebration of their 6th anniversary, the Tempura family is running a series of events and one of them is happening on the Tempura Blog. They have requested family and friends to share their thoughts and feelings towards Tempura and have been posting it on their blog along with pictures. It’s been very sweet and heart warming to read. I was honored that they asked me to share a few words as well. You can read my contribution at this link.

I remember Tempura from our earliest days in SL (January 2009). Aeon found it and we used to go there and dance or sit by the waterfall on a small island they had (and may still have – we plan a visit soon to find out).
My niece came into SL after a very difficult time and she used to go to Tempura to sit and think, or meditate or do Tai Chi. She has reported that it was her favourite place to rest and was taken by its beauty and tranquility.
Happy Sixth Anniversary, Tempura! May we all enjoy many more years of loveliness there!

Happy 6th birthday Tempura! Really great place ever. My fav from the first day I joined SL. Always enjoy being there, with it’s unique atmosphere, gentle music and magic in the air. Creators of Tempura did great work. My congratulations and best wishes to big Tempura family and to all who loves that amazing place!
