Arabian Nights

This is not the typical Friday Find that I usually do every week where I share an image of a location with you, but I will share a couple of locations/slurls that may be of interest.

I took the first image at Illusions Arabian Marketplace. It’s a very pretty build with bold textures and I’ve always wanted to shoot there so figured today would be a good day for that. You guys can drop by there and check out Illusions as well for a lot of beautiful masks and other accessories.

The outfit I’m wearing is by Sash Arabello of Wimey and it can be found at The Fantasy Collective for the month of February. The theme for this month is Arabian Nights and when you take the SLurl: The Fantasy Collective SLurl, be careful because it’s in the sky and I fell and had to fly around the sim to locate it. Hopefully that SLurl should take you directly there.

My dupatta (scarf) and pose come together in this pose prop by Rekka Whiteberry of LDG. Rekka has three different variations: Prop 1, Prop 2 & Prop 3. She also has a free gift version of Prop 3 and sells the hijab part separately. It’s definitely a different and fun idea to put the poses inside the dupattas. What I like about it is that it’s not that expensive and the dupattas have materials enabled so they reflect the light beautifully.

Finally, I wanted to redo my Facebook Page cover (it was black & white before and I wanted to add a splash of color) so I decided to do this closeup for it. I colored the mesh eyelids turquoise (NOT TEAL MR. JEFFERSON :P) to go with the clothing and I also tinted the head jewel in photoshop so it was more turquoise. The original color of the head jewel can be seen on marketplace.

1. The Drax Files Radio Hour – Show #7 – Meet & Greet with Linden Lab CEO – Earlier this week there was a meet and greet with the new Linden Lab CEO and a handful of SL bloggers. Draxtor was one of them and he graciously recorded the whole interview and included it in this week’s episode. You’ll get to hear the new CEO’s voice and all this thoughts and ideas about the current state of SL.
2. StrawberrySingh.com Photo Studio – Since it was posted two weeks ago, over 800 of these have already been sold and we’ve gotten lots of great feedback about it. I’m really happy you guys have found it useful and hope it’s working out well for you.
3. House of Cards – I binge-watched all of season 2 of House of Cards in 3 days. I am obsessed with this show. Almost as much as I am obsessed with Hannibal & Community. I don’t watch much television, only a handful of shows, and these three are my top favs at the moment. What are your top three?
4. Finally, this video brought back hilarious memories, totally loved it!
