AndrogyMe Challenge

show me the light

Today I’m blogging a challenge that someone else has started. Whenever I blog a challenge that someone else starts, I always add it to my ‘challenges category‘ I try and do challenges by others as often as I can. I find them fun to do and I appreciate all the people that take time to do the memes and challenges I introduce.

You can click over to Arora Zanzibar’s blog for all the details about her AndrogyMe Challenge. Remember to leave your link in her comments if you do decide to do it.

For this challenge I went with a mixture of items that are for both men and women. The shirt is currently available at The Mens Dept by Aitui. I am wearing it in the xs size to make it fit me. It’s still a bit baggy on me but I think it works. I didn’t change my shape at all for this post and tried to make everything work with my current shape. I did have a hard time trying to find a pair of jeans that would work under this shirt without a lot of clipping. After trying on 10 different mesh pairs for both men and women, I settled on the Maitreya flares in the xxs size. There was no clipping with this, which I was really happy about.

The hair I’m wearing is from Monso, it’s a unisex hair and I think it works really well for both men and women. The special thing about this hair is that it’s Materials-Ready and you can really see that in my first image. I tried to use a windlight that enhanced that. Although the textures are not my favorite from this hair brand, I do really like the materials that they have been adding to their current styles and I feel that it makes the hair look quite realistic.

I actually had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to style for this challenge. It’s so easy to throw on a pair of heels and a dress (or just get naked with a snake) but to try and figure out a gender neutral style is definitely challenging. I hope more people decide to do this challenge as I find it quite interesting.
