Since everyone and their mother has been teasing me about my inventory number lately, I thought it would be a good time to do an inventory meme so you guys can laugh at me some more. However, before we start the meme, I wanted to talk to you guys about my new thigh-high boots and liquid mesh.

Earlier today I noticed one of the bloggers that I read blogged a pair of very nice looking thigh-high boots. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were a new release from Bax Coen, and will be available later this week (Wednesday or Thursday). I plurked about them at this link, and we got into an interesting discussion about liquid mesh and all the controversies behind it. I then noticed Nalates Urriah did a blog post about liquid mesh, warning us about the possibilities of Linden Lab breaking it.

When I logged in a little after the plurk and after reading Nalates post, I received a package from Bax Coen herself, dropping the new boots on me. I also got a chance to speak to her a little bit. She told me that she’s been waiting over a year for the mesh deformer to hit the grid so she can release these boots but since we still have no release date for the deformer yet, she went ahead and did these in liquid mesh. I did a video which I’m embedding below to show you how you can modify the mesh. I did space out in the middle of the video a bit, lol so I apologize about that, was a bit distracted in RL. Anyhow, Bax also told me that if and when liquid mesh does break, she will do an update for all those that purchase these boots now and provide them in either Standard Sizing or hopefully, the mesh deformer version if it is released by then. I’m hoping all this pushes the Lab to get the ball rolling on the mesh deformer, that way we don’t have any concerns of what may happen to all the current mesh products we are purchasing.

The boots themselves are available in 7 Leather Colors (Black, Burgundy, Cream, Pink, Plum, Red, White). The are 100% rigged original Mesh as well as being Materials-Ready. And of course, they are self-fitting with Collision Bone Deformer so they adapt to muscle and body fat changes. EDIT: Even though I do recommend you guys at least pick up the DEMO and try out these boots when they are released, I also feel it’s very important for you to do your own research and make an informed decision based on what you really want before making the purchase.
