Ice Skating in Second Life
I love wintertime in Second Life. Probably more so because I’m in Florida and I never see snow or ice here. I know there’s still a month left till Winter Solstice, but I’m going to start working on some snowy pictures already. I’ve already started picking up all the new mesh coat releases across the grid. 😛
The second picture in this post is my iRez photo of the day today. I talked about how I’ve only ice skated once in my life before. I’m thinking of making another trip up north to Canada some time this winter and I wanna definitely try ice skating again. What other winter sports should I try? I’m kind of afraid of skiing, I have a feeling I’ll definitely end up with some broken bones. lol What do y’all suggest if I end up going?
I found this sim on Koinup Places and I have a collection of winter sims that I got from my plurky friends that I will be visiting one by one. I’m hoping to cover a lot of winter sports in my upcoming posts. This sim is really festive and has a great couple’s animation for skating. What fantastic and fun images! Gabriella and I had a blast last year on a sim similar to this one, it’s just too good to skip! I was never very good at ice skating in real life so SL is great as you don’t get booty bruises. 😀

Chance, it actually was so much fun just skating around the rink and chatting. I forgot how much fun it is just to relax and do stuff in SL other than fashion photography all the time. lol

I also love skating in SL. It’s fun to do things you can’t do in RL (and I cannot skate in RL, lol). These are so cute!!!
I live in Canada….but still am not a great lover of snow and ice :o)
If you’re too afraid to ski…maybe just try sledding. It’s a blast! And there’s always cross country skiing…much less dangerous.
