It’s my birthday and I’ll blog if I want to!
September 22nd is my birthday and this year is kind of a milestone birthday for me. I dunno though…I’m feeling kinda old. Feels like I’ve really aged these past few months. And although I was able to let go of a lot of things and move on from them, my permeable layer that I use to shield myself from others seems to be a bit stronger. I’m a bit more protective and apprehensive about opening up too much of myself. Not sure why that is the case or perhaps that comes with age. In your youth it may be easier to let people in but as you get older, your good and bad experiences can affect how much of yourself you are willing to let go.
I also feel like there is so much in my life that I kinda wanted to do or should have done and I haven’t as of yet. Does that make me a failure? Is there really a set of rules or goals that one needs to have accomplished at a certain age?
I’m rambling aren’t I? Sorry, didn’t mean to get all philosophical on y’all. I just get these random thoughts so I figure what better a place to share these thoughts than my very own blog! 😛
